Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilköğretim altıncı sınıf matematik dersi kapsamındaki ?Cebir ve Alan? konularında GME destekli öğretim yapılarak öğrenci başarısına ve öğrencilerin matematik dersine yönelik tutumlarına etkisini araştırmaktır.Araştırma 2010-2011 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı ikinci döneminde Zonguldak Çaycuma'da bir ilköğretim okulunda okuyan 43 6. Sınıf öğrencisiyle yürütülmüştür. Deney grubu 21 öğrenciden, kontrol grubu 22 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma öncesinde deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerine uygulanan başarı testi ve matematiğe yönelik tutum testi puanları karşılaştırılarak, öğrencilerin başarı ve tutumları yönünden aralarında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür.Araştırma sürecinde deney grubu öğrencilerine GME destekli öğretim, kontrol grubu öğrencilerine ise ders kitabı rehberliğinde geleneksel öğretim yapılmıştır. Süreç sonunda öğrencilere başarı testi ve matematiğe yönelik tutum ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca süreç araştırmacı tarafından gözlemlenerek gözlem notları oluşturulmuştur.Elde edilen puanlar bağımsız örneklem t testi ve bağımlı örneklem t testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan analiz sonucunda deney grubu ile kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin başarı testi ve tutum puanları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. GME destekli matematik eğitiminin öğrencilerin başarılarını ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarını olumlu etkilediği söylenebilir. Bu süreçte deney grubunun sınıf ortamında matematiksel tartışmalar yaptıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Araştırmada öğrenme ürünlerinden örnekler yer almaktadır.

The aim of this study is investigating the impact of students? success and attitude towards math, carrying out an education supported by RME including `Algebra and Field Measurement? subjects of primary school 6th grade.The study was carried out on 43 6th grade students in the second term of 2010-2011 academic year at a primary school in Zonguldak. The experimental group is consist of 21 students; the control group is consist of 22 students. Before the application achievement test and attitude towards math scala grades of experimental and control groups was compared and it?s seen that there is no meaningful difference between them.During the application; teaching supported by GME was carried out to experimental group students whereas under the guidance of text book traditional teaching was carried out to control group student. At the end of the application achievement test and attitude towards math scala was carried out. Also the research was observed by the researcher and observation data was formed.Gained grades were analyzed with dependent t test and independent t test. At the results of analyses between experimental and control groups students? achievement test and attitude towards math scala grades, a meaningful difference was found in favour of experimental group. It has been reached that supported GME maths education affect student achievements and attitude towards maths. During this period it was observed that experimental group made mathematical argument in clasroom environment. In this research there are some samples of learning product.
