Özet
Altınyayla, gerek doğal güzellikleri ile gerekse topografyaya saygılı yapılı çevresi ile Anadolu'nun bakir sayılabilecek kırsal bir yerleşkesidir. Çalışma alanı içinde daha çok 1930'lu yıllarda ve sonrasında, geleneksel teknikler ve malzeme ile inşa edilmiş korunmaya değer özgün yapılar bulunmaktadır. `Cumayeri' denen meydandan şekillenen yerleşimin merkezinde bitişik nizamlı yapılar, çeperlerinde ise müstakil konutlar gözlemlenir. İç ve dış sofalı plan tipine ait örneklerin bulunduğu bölgede, yapıların konumlanmasında yön, eğim ve yol faktörleri etkili olmuştur. Bu yapılar dış karakterlerinin yanı sıra iç bezeme detayları ile de oldukça zengindir. Bölgede yapılan araştırmalar sonucu sosyal ve kültürel yapıda değişmeler, çevresel ve yapısal ölçekte bozulmalar tespit edilmiştir. Ekonomik faaliyetlerin gerilemesi ile bölge göçler vermektedir. Nüfusun azalmasıyla boş kalan konutlar bölgenin özgün mimarisini tehdit eder hale gelmiştir. Konut ve işyeri olarak inşa edilen yapılar bir yandan yerine yapıldıkları ve herhangi bir koruma altında olmayan geleneksel konutu yok ederken, bir yandan da bölgeye uyumsuzluğu ile ilçenin siluetini etkilemektedir. Bunun yanı sıra kullanıcılar güncel gereksinimleri için yapıların cepheleri gibi iç mekânlarına ve plan şemalarına da zarar vermektedir.Bunlara karşılık istihdama ve yapılı çevreyi korumaya yönelik bir takım kararlar alınmış, konfor ihtiyaçlarına cevap vermek için sıhhileştirme önerilmiştir.

Because of being a historical settlement area as well as having a genuine architectural texture, Altınyayla(Dirmil), research field of this thesis, is a settlements area that must be preserved. This area is also chosen for its untouched academic research field about its layout texture and architecture. Altınyayla is a county of Burdur in the Akdeniz region. It is surrounded by Fethiye at south, by Gölhisar at west and north-east, by Çavdır at east. Altınyayla Municipality was founded in 1990. High amount of diversity in the flora is because of the differences of altitude and exposure levels. Agriculture, breeding and providing lime raw-material are few of the main economical activities. Altınyayla can be counted as one of the rather untouched rural settlements of Anatolia with its natural beauties and kindly sitting of built environment on topograpy. Buildings that are found within the research field are genuine and worth preserving. Most of them are built mainly in 1930?s and later on and use traditional techniques and materials. In the settlement centre, adjacent ordered buildings can be observed that take form organically starting from the square that is called ?cumayeri?, whereas single houses can be observed in the periphery. Direction, slope and road elements play important roles in the positioning of the buildings where in the region is possible to find inner and outer halls plan type examples. These buildings have rich outer characteristics as well as inner decoration details. Altınyayla, for many years an important settlement area with its natural beauties and livable characteristics, is losing its population steadily to migration because of the fact that economical activities nowadays are insufficient. Vacant houses after the immigrations are slowly becoming a threat to the genuinity of the architecture of the region. Abandoning the houses turns them into ruins, then demolishing them and building unqualified buildings and unqualified additions to the houses that are already in use because of the changing user profile damage the buildings and the texture.As a result of the research studies in the region, changes in the social and cultural structures, deteriorations on the enviromental and structural scales were detected. Several decisions were made in order to protect built environment and towards employment. Interventions to preserve the buildings are categorized by their contents and current status. Most of the proposals made in order to bring the region to life are based on the datas collected as a result of the public surveys that were done in the region. While these proposals were getting prepared, the importance of the necessity of interdisciplinary studies and plannings are underlined. Overloading to the region where it can only bear up to a point or developing alien strategies to the current culture will be more damaging rather than actually doing any good. Providing public attendance and awareness are very important on this step, too. Striving to preserve the traditional texture that connects the past to nowadays is a must.
