Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı; Turizm eğitimi almakta olan ön lisans ve lisans öğrencilerinin mezun olduktan sonra çalışma hayatlarında kariyer planlarken çalışmak istedikleri bölümleri, alanları, kurumları, pozisyonları ve beklentilerini belirlemektir.Veriler turizm eğitimi almakta olan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden, gönüllü 533 öğrenciye hazırlanan anket formu uygulanarak toplanmıştır. Çalışmada kullanılan ölçeğin güvenilirliği Chronbach ?:0,8563 bulunmuştur. Verilerin analizinde, ?yüzde?, ?frekans?, ?t-testi? ve ?tek faktörlü varyans (Anova) analizi? analizleri yapılmıştır.Araştırmanın bulgularına göre katılımcıların %48,2'si mezuniyet sonrası özel sektörde çalışmak istemekte ve %55,5'i ise üst düzey yönetici olmayı planlamaktadır. Öğrencilerin mezuniyet sonrası çalışmak istedikleri kurumdan en önemli beklentileri yaptıkları işi seviyor olmaları ve işyerinde terfi edebilme imkanlarının olmasıdır. Kız öğrenciler çalışmayı planladıkları işyerinin fiziksel şartlarını ve işyerindeki takdir ve ödüllendirme adaletinin olmasını erkek öğrencilerden daha fazla önemsemektedirler (p<0.001). İki yıllık meslek yüksek okulunda eğitim gören öğrencilerin iş yerimdeki ücrete ilişkin puan ortalaması 4,32±ss iken, dört yıllık fakültede eğitim gören öğrencilerin puan ortalaması 4,51±ss'dir ve aradaki fark istatistiksel açıdan önemlidir (p<0.01). Birinci sınıf öğrencilerin, çalıştığım kurumun çalışanlar için hekim ve sağlık hizmeti sunuyor olmasına ilişkin puan ortalaması 4,28±ss, ikinci sınıf öğrencilerin puan ortalaması 3,99±ss ve üçüncü sınıf öğrencilerin puan ortalaması ise 4,05±ss'dir ve aradaki fark istatistiksel açıdan önemlidir (p<0,01). Ayrıca araştırmada, öğrencilerin çalışmak istedikleri işyerinden beklentileri ile cinsiyet, öğrenim süresi, okudukları okulu seçme istekleri, öğrenim gördükleri sınıf ve mezuniyet sonrası çalışmak istedikleri kurum değişkenleri açısından istatistiksel açıdan farklılıklar önemli bulunmuştur (p<0.05).

The aim of this research is to determine the expectations of Tourism Management Education?s undergraduate and post graduate students about the sections, institutions and positions in which they wish to work after graduation while making career plannings.The datas have been collected by using the questionnaires filled by 533 students who agreed voluntarily to be part of this research. The reliability of the data has been found as Chronbach ?:0,8563. In the analysis of datas, ?percentage?, ?frequency?, ?t-test? and ?single-factor variance (Anova) analysis? have been carried out.According to the findings of the study, 48,2% of the participants want to work in private sector after graduations and 55,5% of the participants plan to be senior managers. The highest expectations of the students, from the institution where they will be working, are that they shall love their work and the opportunities of career advancement in the institution. Female students care more about the physical conditions, justice in the workplace and appreication of rewarding than compared to male students (p<0,001). The average grade given to the wage by 2-year college students is 4,32±ss, while it is 4,51±ss as per the 4-year faculty students; and the difference is statistically important (p<0,01). First grade students? average score about the provision of health care for the employees by the institution is 4,28±ss, that of second grade students? is 3,99±ss and that of third grade students? is 4,05±ss; and the difference is statistically important (p<0,01). Also in the research, the differences between the expectations of students from the work place are found statistically important as per the gender, duration of their study, the reason of their selection of the school, their grade and their expectation for the work place in which they wish to work (p<0,05).
