Özet
But at the same time we had to use surface methods. Because, these two volumetric methods weren't enought to determine the fine discontinuities on the surface of the parts, especially for thick parts. Xllla) X-ray radiography b) Gamma-ray radiography. In the ultrasonic testing the reference part should be inspected for four surfaces. For detailed inspection different probs were used in this inspection. However, all discontinuities in this reference part couldn't be determined easily. In the magnetic particles inspections, two different apparatus were used. These are coil type apparatus and yoke type apparatus. By using both of them, detailed knowledge about the discontinuities which were open to the surface could be taken. In liquid penetrant testing, about all discontinuities were detected apain on the surface. Moreover, this method is cheaper than magnetic particle method. If the fluoresant magnetic particles or fluoresant penetrant are preferred for the sensitive results, then the“black lamp”should be used for the evaluation. In here, emission rate and wavelenght of the ultraviolet rays from the black lamp is important for the sensitivity of the method. At the end of the inspections which contained five different techniques, since both the radiography and ultrasonic are volumetric methods, they gave“good”results for the whole of a part. Xll
