Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı müzik öğretmenliği anabilim dallarındaki öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilerinin okul çalgıları ders içeriği hakkındaki görüşlerini, ders içeriğinin öğretmen adaylarının beklentilerini ne derece karşıladığını, öğretim elemanlarının söz konusu dersten ne derece verim elde ettiklerini, okul çalgıları dersinin işlevsellik ve yeterliğini artırmak için nelerin yapılabileceğini saptayarak çözüm önerileri getirmektir. Araştırma 2012-2013 eğitim öğretim yılında Türkiye?deki Üniversitelerin eğitim Fakültelerine bağlı Güzel Sanatlar Eğitimi Bölümlerinde eğitim alan 3 ve 4. Sınıf öğrencileri ile bu kurumlarda görev yapan okul çalgıları dersi öğretim elemanlarından oluşturulan örneklem üzerinden yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi, Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi, Uludağ Üniversitesi, Harran Üniversitesi, Marmara Üniversitesi, Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi, Atatürk Üniversitesi, Niğde Üniversitesi ve İnönü Üniversitesi?nde okumakta olan 451, 3. ve 4. sınıf öğrencisi ile Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi, Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi, Uludağ Üniversitesi ve Marmara Üniversitesi?nde görev yapan 15 öğretim elemanından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada bütüncül bir yaklaşımla nicel ve nitel boyutlu betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ?Okul Çalgıları Ders İçeriğine Yönelik Anket? ve ?Öğretim Elemanları Görüşme Formu?ile toplanmıştır. Nicel verilerin istatistiksel çözümlemelerinde SPSS 15.0 paket programı, nitel verilerin çözümlemelerinde ise içerik analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular kapsamında öğrencilere uygulanan anketler sonucunda okul çalgıları dersine üç dönem ayrılması, dersin 1 ve 2. sınıflarda verilmesi, bağlama ve gitar dersleri için birer dönemin ayrılması, gibi konularda üniversitelere göre farklılıklar elde edilmiştir. Bu durumun söz konusu üniversitelerde uygulanmakta olan ders programları, öğretim elemanları ve öğrencilerin hazırbulunuşluk seviyeleri gibi faktörlerden kaynaklanabileceği söylenebilir. Öğretim elemanlarına uygulanan görüşme formları sonucunda ise; gitar ve bağlama için birer dönemin ayrılmasının yetersiz olduğu, geleneksel çalgıların okul çalgıları dersine dahil edilmesinin faydalı olabileceği ancak bunun için belirli çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği, okul çalgıları dersinin verildiği sınıf seviyelerinde düzenlemelere ihtiyaç duyulduğu, okul çalgılarının çeşitlendirilerek, süresinin uzatılması gerektiği sonuçları elde edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlar çerçevesinde okul çalgıları dersinin işlevselliğinin artırılmasına yönelik olarak öneriler getirilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to find out the views of the instructors and students of Music Teaching Department on the content of school instruments lesson, the extent to which this content meets the needs of prospective music teachers, the extent of the efficiency the instructors obtain from this lesson and the things that can be done to increase the functionality and efficiency of this lesson and to offer solutions to these issues. The sample of the study is students studying in their third and fourth years at the Fine Arts Teaching departments of universities in Turkey during the academic year 2012-2013 and the instructors teaching school instruments in these universities. The sample consists of 451 students in their third and fourth years studying at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Abant İzzet Baysal University, Uludağ University, Harran University, Marmara University, Mehmet Akif Ersoy University, Dokuz Eylül University, Atatürk University, Niğde University and İnönü University and 15 instructors teaching at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Abant İzzet Baysal University, Uludağ University and Marmara University. The study uses quantitative and qualitative descriptive research method with an integrated approach. The data was collected through ?Survey for School Instruments Lesson? and ?Interview Form for Instructors? developed by the researcher. The statistical analysis of the quantitative data was made by SPSS 15.0 package program and the analysis of the qualitative data was made through content analysis. The findings of the students? survey indicated that the students thought three semesters of school instruments lesson in only the first and second years was insufficient. Moreover, it was concluded that one semester period for baglama was not sufficient enough to attain the skill of playing the instrument and the students did not have sufficient information about the literature on school instruments. It can be said that these insufficiencies may be resulting from factors such as the syllabus, instructors and the readiness level of students. Prospective music teachers stated that school instruments had a great contribution to their professional lives; study times, pieces and exercises were ideal for their levels; the subjects in the content were organized in a useful way; school instruments were effective on the music taste of primary school children; the assessment and evaluation results for school instruments reflected the truth and the inclusion of orff instruments, accordion and oud in the school instruments lesson would be useful. The findings of the instructors? interview forms showed results such as one semester period for guitar and baglama was insufficient; including traditional instruments in school instruments lesson could be useful but some researches were needed to do this; regulations were needed for the class levels in which school instruments were taught and school instruments should be more varied and the time allocated to them should be extended. Within the framework of these results, suggestions were made to increase the functionality of the school instruments lesson.
