Özet
Otizm yaygın gelişimsel bozukluklardan birisi olup, geçmişten günümüze kadar yapılan tüm araştırmalara rağmen sebebi ve tedavisi bulunamamıştır. Çeşitli tedavi ve terapi yöntemleri otistik engellilerin ve ailelerinin hayatlarını daha da kolaylaştırmak için uygulanmaktadır. Uygulanan terapi yöntemleri otistik engelliler için bedensel, ruhsal ve toplumsal gelişimlerine olumlu yönde katkı sağlamada büyük bir önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, otizmde terapi yöntemlerinden biri olan spor çalışması ile bireylerin gelişimine katkı sağlamak ve genel spor eğitiminden ziyade tek bir branş ile çalışıp bireylerin karmaşadan uzaklaşarak tek bir noktaya odaklanmasını sağlanıp onların gelişimine sağladığı katkıların saptanmasıdır. Bu amaçtan yola çıkarak tenis sporunun sosyal yeterlilik düzeyleri üzerine bir etkisi olduğu hipotezini ortaya koyup tüm otistik engelli grubu temsilen 1 otizmli birey ile 12 hafta boyunca haftada 2 gün, günlük 2saat toplamda 48 saatlik bir antrenman programı uygulanmıştır ve uygulamalı davranış analizi modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bilimsel araştırma tekniklerinden tek denekli örnek olay incelemesi (vaka çalışması) modeli kullanılarak yapılmıştır ve araştırmanın uygulamasına katılan öğrencinin özel eğitim ve kaynaştırma eğitimi aldığı okuldaki beden eğitimi, rehberlik ve sınıf öğretmenleri toplam 9 öğretmen ve 1 ebeveyn ile görüşülmüştür. Çalışma öncesinde araştırmaya katılan bireylere araştırma soruları yöneltilmiş daha sonra ise çalışma sonunda aynı sorular tekrar yöneltilmiş ve iki konu arasındaki fark incelenmiştir. Bilgiler ses kayıt cihazına kaydedilmiş ve daha sonra kâğıda dökülmüştür. Konuşma sohbet ortamında ve sohbetin akışına göre soru cevap şeklinde gerçekleştirilmiş ve sorular uzman görüşü alarak hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda ise; tenis uygulamalarının otizmli bireylerin sosyal yeterlilik kurma düzeylerinde olumlu bir değişiklik olduğu en çok ise göz teması kurma, öz güven, odaklanma, akran ilişkileri ve sosyalleşme düzelerinde olumlu bir değişiklik olduğu saptanmıştır.

Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder and though all the research conducted from past to present, the reason and treatment for it have not been found yet. Various treatment and therapy methods are applied in order to ease the lives of the autistics and their families. Applied therapy methods have an important place in contributing the physical, spiritual and social developments for the autistics positively. The purpose of this study is to contribute to development of the individuals via sports, which is among the therapy methods in autism, and to enable them focus at one point by helping the individuals stay away from the chaos and work with a single branch of sport instead of a general sports education and thus to determine the contributions it provides on their development. Based upon this purpose, a training program of 12 weeks long with 2 times a week, 2 hours a day and 48 hours in total was applied and applied behavior analysis model was used on 1 autistic individual representing the whole autistic group by putting forward the hypothesis that the tennis sport has an impact on their social efficiency levels. The study was conducted by using a single-subjected case study, which is one of the scientific research methods, and 1 parent and 9 teachers of the student who are physical education teacher, guidance teacher and class teachers making up in total 9 teachers that are from the school where the participant student receive special education and orientation education were interviewed. Research questions were addressed before the study to individuals who are participants of the research, and afterwards the same questions were asked and the difference between them were studied. The data were recorded to tape recorder and later written down. The talk was conducted in a manner of conversation, and at some points became a question-answer style and the questions were prepared upon the opinions of an expert. As a result of the study, it is determined that tennis application have a positive impact on autistic individuals' social efficiency building levels and mostly direct eye contact, peer relations and socialization levels underwent the positive changes.
