and executive authority. Although there is entireness with modern social structures, there can be seen trends like this, among the Alawiis even today. In thesis, its tried to be make clear, how the institutions form the subject inside the doctrine. From this point, I examine the moral structure of the Alawiism and the religious character of doctrine. After that, I tried to show how the Alawiis settled themselves in political history. By the modern conditions, the areas that the doctrine reproduct itself and surround the subject began to disappear. So, even if we accept the Alawiism as an universal belief, it is impossible that the doctrine products the same opponent subjects. It is the result of thesis. 228If we accept, the Alawiism as permanent social formation, can not explain some phenomenons. For example, the Alawiis refuse the people who vote right wing parties before 1980's, now can also communicate with the RP, the representative of political Islam. So, we had to accept the reality that we faced with very serious transformation. The main problem of thesis is why and how the Alawii subject become opponent, politically and socially. What is its relationship with doctrine, and how this doctrine forms itself, how it determines the subject. If we can answer these questions, we can realize the picture of the Alawiism more easily. Opposite of common ideas, the Alawiism sets its attitude about this world, not religious but as an ethical doctrine, while having religious character. As an ethical system, it demonstrates the theosophical characteristic. This system could product itself and determine the subject through its social institutions, since many centuries. Because of the surrounding of social institutions, people gain the Alawii identity. If the individual breaks of relations with these social institutions, lose his / her identity and completes this gap by other social facts. Especially after 1960's, the phenomenon of urbanization cause a result like this for the Alawiis. The social institutions of the Alawiis became untied and as a result of this, the Alawiis lived the identity depression. The Alawiis lost their institutions which could defense and reproduct their own values against modern social values. So, they began to define themselves with modern terms. For example, they claimed and now continue to claim that the basic character of the Alawiism is secularism. According to the doctrine, the Alawiism is not orthodox, but can not be defended that it is secular in modern terms. At the same time, the Alawiism, either according to the doctrine or social practise, unconcerned with modernism, even it against modernism. It rejects the modern social or political institutions, such as nation-state, or legislative 227and executive authority.
