Özet
IV. Özet Yönetim Bilişim Sistemi Tasarımı Bu tez kapsamında yürütülen çalışma ile İstanbul Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü'nde örnek bir ofis yönetim bileşim sisteminin temeli atılmıştır. Başlangıçta öğrenci işlerinin izlenmesi amaçlanmışken, yazılım şimdiden amacını aşmış, öğretmen ve ders bilgileri ile tez kütüphanesini de içine almıştır. Tüm ders bilgilerinin elde tutulması ile ders katalogu hazırlamak, ya da öğretmenlerle ilgili adres bilgilerini kullanarak duyurulan postalamak gibi işler şu an yapılabilir duruma gelmiştir. Bunun yanında asıl amaç olan öğrenci durumunun izlenmesi, detaylı olarak yapılabilmektedir. Tezin, konusu gereği herhangi bir noktada başladığım ve bittiğini söylemek oldukça zordur. Zaten şu anda bile, öğrenci işleri ile ilgili yeni fikirler ortaya çıkmakta ve ekler yapılmaktadır. Kanımızca, burada önemli olan yapılan işten ziyade, yöntemin belirlenmesidir. İzlenecek yol iyi çizildikten sonra gereksiz zaman ve emek harcanarak yapıldığı ortaya çıkan pek çok işin, bilgisayar yardımı ile oldukça kısa sürelerde (bu tezin çekirdeğinin tamamlanması bir kişi ile 2 ay sürmüştür) etkin çalışmayı sağlayacak şekilde otomatik duruma getirilebileceği görülmüştür. Bunun karşılığında sağlanan verim artışı ise çok yüksektir. 28

Summary Data Management System Design In this study, the fundamentals of the Data Management System are applied and established in the Science Institute of Istanbul University. At the beginning, the aim was to evaluate the management of student records. However, in the course of software development, the content of the study has been extended to cover also the management of instructors, courses and student's library records. In this way, the developed expert system allows the easy preparation of course schedules, and also all instructor related office works such as the creation and distribution of the announcements. On the other hand, the detailed inspection of the student information is accomplished to the full extend. Because of the inherent nature of the Office Data Management topic, it is quite difficult to set the total coverage of the study. The procedures under consideration gradually modified and upgraded according to fulfill the requirements of the current needs of the subject institute. However, the core of the idea in office management systems is not the specific work undertaken. The determination of the critical steps and the evaluation of a design procedure that is open to the future extension must be seen as the primary objective. Once the design procedure is well established, it has been observed that most of the unnecessarily time and effort consuming tasks can be automated with the help of a computer. In this way, efficiency in office work groups will considerably be improved. 29
