I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who have supported me during this dissertation process. First of all, I would like to thank my family members for their ongoing support and tremendous understanding. I would like to thank my father Hasan Savas, my mother , Hacer Savas, and my brother, Gokhan Savas for always believing in me and helping me in every way they could. I could not have completed this dissertation without their ongoing support and encouragement.In addition, I would like to thank Dr. Thomas Dana.
