This study has two main areas: first, the study evaluates whether the ethical leadership style of a direct supervisor has an impact on the police officers? perception of the integrity violations; second, the study scrutinizes whether police officers? moral judgment of integrity violations makes a difference in the amount of such violations. The impact of police officers? demographic factors such as age, gender, rank, time in-service, level of education and family income on integrity violations are also considered. The study employs multivariate regression analyses and ANOVA tests for the statistics generated from the research questions. The results of the study reveal that moral judgment of police officers is the variable most likely to limit integrity violations. Among the three ethical leadership styles--openness, strictness, and role modeling-- the role modeling leadership style has a statistically significant impact on limiting integrity violations. Among the demographic factors, police officers? level of education has the most statistically significant impact on integrity violations. Finally, police officers? perception of the frequency of the integrity violations differs based on demographic characteristics for all types of integrity violations except private time misconduct.
