This paper focuses on the differences and consequences as a result of adoption of CISG by Turkey in terms of the damages and remedies provisions. After the adoption of the Convention, CISG will be the part of Turkish domestic law and will be applicable to contracts governed by Turkish Law as long as the parties do not opt out in their agreements. There are both common and different provisions in two regulations. Before addressing potential uncertainties that may appear in business practice and which provision is more favourable to the buyer or the seller, the similarities and differences of the CISG and TCO will be discussed by taking the new TCO into consideration.
