Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenliği bölümünde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin meraklılık düzeyleri ile öğrenme stilleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma grubunu 2014-2015 eğitim-öğretim yılında Erciyes, Aksaray, Sütçü İmam, Akdeniz, Niğde, Dumlupınar, On sekiz Mart, Selçuk, Mehmet Akif Ersoy ve Ahi Evran Üniversitelerinde Beden Eğitimi ve Spor öğretmenliği bölümünde 1., 2., 3. ve 4. Sınıflarda öğrenim gören adaylardan oluşan tesadüfü yöntemle seçilmiş her üniversiteden 130 öğrenci katılmıştır. Katılımcılardan, yaş, cinsiyet, üniversite, sınıf ve genel akademik not ortalaması bilgilerini elde etmek amacıyla sosyo-demografik bilgi formunu, meraklılık envanteri ve kolb'un yaşamsal öğrenme stili envanterini uygulamaları istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 20.0 paket programına işlenerek analiz işlemleri bu program aracılığı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Normallik durumunun belirlenmesi için normal dağılım eğrilerine, çarpıklık-basıklık katsayılarına ve Kolmogorov-Smirnov testi sonuçlarına bakılmıştır. İlişkisel analizlerin yapılması için; Levenne İstatistiği, Pearson Momentler Çarpımı Korelasyon katsayısı, Kay-Kare testi, bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Tukey HSD testi ve Games-Howell testi uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaş, sınıf, cinsiyet farketmeksizin öğrenme stillerinin farklılaşmadığı öğrencilerin akademik başarıya ulaşmada öğrenme stil tercihlerinin farklılaştığı, öğrenim görülen üniversiteye göre öğrenme stillerinin farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin meraklılık düzeylerinin sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılığın bulunmadığı ancak cinsiyet, yaş, akademik başarı ve öğrenim görülen üniversiteye göre meraklılık düzeylerinin anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak, çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin meraklılık düzeyleri ve öğrenme stil tercihleri arasında istatistiksel olarak bir ilişkinin olduğu ve merak özelliğinin öğrenme stili tercihini yordadığı sonucuna varılmıştır.

Purpose of this study is the assignment of the relationship between the curiousity levels of students who study at the physical education and sports teaching department and the teaching styles. The study group, which consists 130 students who have been chosen with random method, are the candidates that are studying at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th grades of the Physical Education and Sports Teaching departments of Erciyes, Aksaray, Sütçü İmam, Akdeniz, Niğde, Dumlupınar, On sekiz Mart, Selçuk, Mehmet Akif Ersoy ve Ahi Evran Universities in 2014-2015 academic year. To acquire the age, gender, university, class, and general information of the candidates, they were asked to apply the socio demographic information form, curiousness inventory and Kolb's vital learning style. The gathered data is processed into the SPSS 20.0 package and analysis transactions are realized through this program. For the specification of the normality situation; normal distribution curves, skewness and lowness coefficients and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test results were analyzed. For the performing of the relational analyses; Levenne Statistic, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, Kay-Kare test, independent groups t-test, one way variance analysis (ANOVA), Tukey HSD test and Games-Howell test were done. In this study it was detected that analyzing of the relationship between curiousness levels and learning styles of the students who study at the physical education and sports teaching department, without noticing of their age, class, genders and the students whose learning styles are not changing shows discrepancies of the learning styles depends on the alma matter. It was detected that curiousness levels of the students according to class level, there was no meaningful difference but there were meaningful differences depending on gender, age, academic success and university. As a result, it was inferred that there was a statistical relationship between curiousness levels of the students who participated to this study and the learning style options and also the curiousness characteristic predicted the learning style option.
