Dr. İclal Ergenç Post Graduate It has always taken the interests of man to resolve the structure and functionality of the language that has the most coplex arrangement, since the old ages. In order to learn the coplex structure of the language, linguists have preceeded the child's language acquisition period. Thus, there has been an increase in the number of works regarding the child's language acquisition. The structure of the language is formed on the basis of syntactic and semantic combinations. In all the languages, learning and acqusing the structural and semantic characteristics of the languages starts at babyhood. As you know, in acquiring the semantic structure, while universalitys is in question, structural characteristics differentiate according to the languages. In the work the aspects of these said combinations at the age of five and six years old and how much of it acquired are emphasized. The work is realized by the synchronic method, in which interview technique is used. And the datas are obtained by the interviewees chosen by coincidence from two pre-schools. The aim of the work is to define the tendencies displayed by the two age group of the said children's paraphyrasing the concepts and structural charateristics of the said paraphrases. The first part of the work covers the knowledges that are to formulate the theoritical basis of the work and the historical process of the language acquisition and the methods used. In the second part of the work paraphasing tendencies through the obtained datas are clasified. Paraphasing tendencies realiced by various associatives that can be grouped in two; as phonetic associative and semantic associative. The tendency to use the determined semantic associatives is pragmatic specification, using of the charecteristics and functionality, antonymous, synonymous, whole-portion relation, generalisation, using of the pharase, using of the unit in the same concept area. However in using of the extralinguistic deixis the concepts of the interviewee's sample paraphrased by extralinguistic deixis are displayed. The other topic covers the paraphrases that the relation of concept meaning could not be established. To conclude, in the work the two different age group's language acquisition process is defined. It is determined that in paraphrasing the concepts and thus the egocentric of the children is continued at the ages of 5 and six. 148
