In this study I would like to explain the meaning of İhlas“ (pure sincerity of heart /sincere worship or belief) in Quran. ”İhlas“ is also the name of the 112th ”sure“(a combination of verses of Quran) and its combinations appeair in thirt^onediflerent ”ayets (=verses of the Quran). İhlas, which is translated as“pure, to do something sincerely, to be genuine”means also remove“riya”(meaning hypocrisy or show off) and“şirk”(giving companions or partners to God, polytheism). As a religious term it refers to do all kinds of worship and prayers and favor for God's sake without mixing any other intention or pui-pose. Belief is a very strong and intate power that surrounds humanbeings and this pure belief appears at the most critial moments of humanbeings. So, it is essential to obtain this pure belief.“Muhles”, meaning the distinguished men are the prophets and the humanbeings are ordered to be“muhlis”meaning“genuine”. Relating to Allah (=God ) is to do everything under the name of Him thinking of hereafter. If the benefits are used not for individual fame, status or glory but for God, humanbeings will get rid of responsibilities and relief. At present the greates suffering of the Islamic World is the search of“self”. Whenever we are genuine and turn back to the lively“asr-ı saadet”(the period of the prophets) we will grasp the real meaning of İslam. Explaining our religion to others depends on our“ihlas”(sincerity).“İhlas”is a virtue, which is easy to explain but difficult to practice. The desire of a cliieving the perfect and the best is an innate desire.Man can a chieve this only by taking our Great Prophet as an example and obeying His orders as much as possible. ^
