Özet
Yüce ve Güzel Kavramlarımızın Kaynağı Hakkında Felsefi Bir Soruşturma“ eserine özel atıfla Edmund Burke'de Muhafazakâr Özne başlığını taşıyan çalışmamız, muhafazakârlık denince akla ilk gelen düşünür olan Edmund Burke'ün ”A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and beautiful" adlı eserinde serimlediği ve O'nun temel epistemolojik çalışması kabul edilen bir metnin incelenmesidir. Bu metinde Burke, kişi doğasının en saf formu kabul ettiği tutku ve duyguları haz ve acı açısından incelemiş ve buradan Yüce (Sublime) ve Güzel (Beautiful) ismini verdiği en güçlü duygulara ulaşılacağını ve bunun yaşamın eylemselliği içerisinde en etkili nitelikte olduğunu göstermiştir. Çalışmamız, Burke'ün oluşturmaya çalıştığı kuramsal çerçevenin anlaşılmasını sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Ayrıca değerlerin koruyucusu olduğu iddia edilen kişinin zihin yapısını, fonksiyonunu, ögelerini ve iradeye etkisi olarak seçmelerini nasıl gerçekleştirdiğinin yaşam pratiğinde incelenmesini yapmaktır. Düşünürümüz, uslamlamanın en basit ilkelerinin dahi tüm insanlarda ortak olmasıyla birlikte aklın ve akıl yürütmelerin sınırlarının darlığının, tüm davranışların onla açıklanmaya çalışılmasının, gelecek tasarımlarının ondan (reason) referansla kurgulanmasının, soyut ama sözde getirdiği sınamaya gerek bile olmayan kavramları ile her derde deva gibi kabul görmesinin aklın kendi yapısına aykırılığını göstermiştir. O, eylemlerimizin çoğuna etki eden saiklerin -tutku ve duygu- göz ardı edildiğini düşünür. İşte bu çalışma ihmal edildiği iddia edilen haz ve acı menşeli tutku/duyguların niçin böyle olduklarının değil nasıl çalıştıklarının tasvir edildiği bir incelemedir.

Our study entitled Burke's Conservative Subject“A philosophical Enquiry İnto The Origin Of Our İdeas Of The Sublime And Beautiful”to work special ascription is an analysis of the text which is considered to be Edmund Burke's main epistemological (theoretical) study, the first philosopher to come to mind when conservatism is mentioned, that he presented in his book named as“A Philosophical Enquiry into the Origin of Our Ideas of the Sublime and beautiful”. In this text, Burke analyzed passions and emotions that he considered as the purest form of human nature in terms of pleasure and pain, and proved that it is possible to reach the strongest emotions from here, which he called Sublime and Beautiful, and that this has the most effective quality within the actuality of life. The aim of this study is to help understand the theoretical framework of the study which Burke attempted to establish. Besides, it also investiges how the mind structure, the function and the basics of individuals which are claimed to be protectors of values come true and also investiges how choices are made considering the impacts of their will within the life practice. Despite the fact that even the simplest principles of reasoning are approved by everybody, our philosopher indicated that the ambiguity of the limits of mind and reasoning, thinking all the behaviors with it, building the future designs with reference to it, and accepting it like it is a cure for all thanks to its abstract concepts that don't even require to be tested, do contradict with itself. He thinks that the incentives –passion and emotion- that have an impact on most of our actions, are ignored. This study intends to analyze and evaluate how passions and emotions and the strongest of all, emotions are depicted in accordance with the pleasures and pains that were claimed to be ignored, rather than investigating why they are so.
