Özet
Küreselleşme ile birlikte, tüm dünyada ekonomik, sosyal, kültürel, yönetsel anlamda bir bütünleşme ve para/malların, sermaye/hizmetlerin ve emeğin serbest dolaşımının sağlandığı bir yapı oluşmuştur. Bu süreçte; serbestleşme politikaları, iletişim, bilgi, üretim, ulaşım, pazarlama başta olmak üzere teknolojideki değişim ve gelişmeler, mal ve hizmet üretimini hızla arttırmıştır. İşletmeler, yurtiçi ve yurtdışından rakipleriyle fiyat, kalite ve hizmet açısından çok daha fazla rekabet eder duruma gelmiştir. Böyle bir pazarda başarı dünya piyasalarına açılmış mal ve hizmetlerin rekabet gücüyle bağlıdır. Çalışma, 2000-2014 yılları arasında Türk kimya sektörünün Almanya karşısındaki rekabet gücünü ölçmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci ve ikinci bölümünde günümüzde önemi artan uluslararası rekabet gücü kavramı ve bunu belirleyen faktörler ile ölçmeye yönelik geliştirilen yöntemler açıklanmıştır. Son bölümde ise Türk kimya sektörünün Almanya kimya sektörünün birkaç ürünler bazında rekabet gücünün karşılaştırması yapılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada Türk kimya sektörünün rekabet gücü analizi, Balassa ve Vollrath'nın“Açıklanmış Karşılaştırmalı Üstünlükler Endeksi”ne göre yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar, Türkiye'de kimya sektörünün rekabet gücüne sahip olmadığını gösterir. Bu karşılaştırma analize dayanarak Almanya'nın daha fazla kimya sektörü ürünleri ihraç ettiğinden rekabet üstünlüğüne sahip olduğunu söylemek mümkündür.

Along with the globalization, many improvements, through which an integration within the sense of economic, social, cultural and administrative integration, free and easy circulation of money, goods, capitals, services and labor are ensured, are being experienced all around the world. During this process, liberalization policies, the changes and developments in technology increased fast the goods, service, production and marketing being in the first place. The companies and the sectors started to be in much greater competition with their domestic and foreign commercial rivals in terms of pricing, quality and service. The most important element of success in such a market is the competitive capacity of the goods and the service that have been opened up to the markets of the world. The study aims to determine the competitiveness of Turkey's chemistry sector against Germany chemistry sector in the global market for the 2000-2014 period. In the first and second part of this study, the concept of international competitiveness with its increasing importance, the factors behind it and techniques developed to measure it has been explained. In the final section competitiveness of Turkish chemistry sector has tried to compared. The study employs Balassa and Vollrath's“Revealed Comparative Index”approach to analyze chemistry sector in Turkey. Results show that chemistry sector in Turkey doesn't have competitive power. İt is possible to say that Germany has competitive advantages for exporting more chemical industry products based on this comparative analysis.
