Özet

Bu çalışma kalp yetmezliği olan hastalarda hastalık algısı ve bakımlarına ilişkin görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan çalışma, Türkiye Yüksek İhtisas Hastanesi Kardiyoloji Kliniğinde Kasım 2014-Şubat 2015 tarihleri arasında yapılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini kalp yetmezliği tanısı ile yatan 100 hasta oluşturmuştur. Veriler hastaların tanımlayıcı özelliklerini, hastalık ve tedaviyi ilişkin özelliklerini içeren“Anket Formu”,“Hastalık Algı Ölçeği”ve“Kronik Hastalıklarda Bakımı Değerlendirme Ölçeği”kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler; frekans-yüzde, standart sapma, ShapiroWilk normallik testi, Mann Whitney U testi, SpearmanRho korelasyon testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgulara göre; kalp yetmezliği hastalarının yaş, eğitim durumu, kalp yetmezliği fonksiyonel sınıfı, başka kronik hastalığı olma durumu ile Hastalık Algısı Ölçeğinin bazı alt boyutları puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur (p

The present study was designed to evaluate the illness perception and opinions about care of patients who have heart failure. The descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted in cardiology clinics of Turkey High Specialization Hospital between November 2014 and February 2015. The study sample comprised of 100 patients who were hospitalized due to heart failure. The data were collected using“Questionnaire Form”containing items about demographic features, disease characteristics;“The Illness Perception Questionnaire”and“The Improving Chronic Illness Care Survey”. The data were analysed using frequency, percentage, standard deviation, Shapiro Wilk Test, Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman Rho Correlation Test. According to the findings of the research, a significant difference was found between the age, educational status, heart failure functional level, presence of another chronic illness of heart failure patients and point averages of some of sub-dimensions of The Illness Perception Questionnaire. Another significant statistical relationship was found between how informed patients were about their disease and the score average of The Improving Chronic Illness Care Survey. It was also discovered that there was a significant statistical relationship between The Illness Perception Questionnaire and The Improving Chronic Illness Care Survey of heart failure patients. In addition, whereas The Improving Chronic Illness Care Survey and The Illness Perception Questionnaire had a positive relationship with sub-dimensions of treatment control and understanding of the disease. Based on the conclusions, it's suggested that medical staff especially nurses, should determine the perception of patients with heart failure, level of patient satisfaction in terms of the care they have received, the sufficiency of chronic illness management and it is also suggested that they should have education about the sufficiency of chronic illness management and mentor it and lastly evaluate its results.
