Özet
Bu çalışmada atasözlerinde mizahın işlevinin ne olduğu ve mizahın atasözle-rinde hangi anlayışlarla yaratıldığı tespit edilmek amacıyla atasözleri ve mizah arasın-daki ilişki incelenmiştir. Çalışmaya dâhil edilen atasözleri, Ömer Asım Aksoy'un Deyimler ve Atasözleri 1 adlı sözlüğünden seçilmiştir. Mizahî olduğu tespit edilen ve örneklem yoluyla seçilen 59 atasözü, çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda incelenmiştir. İnceleme aşamasında, atasözlerindeki mizahın herhangi bir eksikliğin telafisi için yaratıldığı gözlemlenmekle beraber, mizah kuramları bağlamında mizahın hangi ilişkilendirmeler sonucu, nasıl oluştuğu ve hangi mizah tarzlarıyla yaratıldığı tespit edilmiştir. İnceleme sonucunda elde edilen veriler çalışmanın problemini çözmek için planlanan tartışmada kullanılmak üzere; telafi edilen eksikliklere, mizah kuramlarına, mizah tarzlarına, kullanılan söz sanatlarına ve mizahın yaratılmasına yardımcı olan atasözlerinin biçim özelliklerine göre ayrı ayrı sınıflandırılmıştır. Sınıflandırma sonucu ortaya çıkan tabloya göre atasözlerindeki mizahın işlevi ve atasözlerindeki mizahın, nasıl bir anlayışla yaratıldığı tartışılmıştır. Tartışma sonucunda; yaratılan mizahın, genellikle bir hayvan veya üreme ve boşaltım organlarıyla yapılan ilişkilendirmeler başta olmak üzere, günümüzde hoş karşılanmayan, saldırgan ve küçük düşürmeye dönük bir anlayışla yaratıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca aynı tartışma sonucunda; ek-sikliği telafi etmek için var olan mizahın, atasözlerinde, atasözlerinin taşıdığı mesaja dikkat çekmek, mesajın anlaşılmasını, hatırlanmasını sağlamak ve aktarılmasına yar-dımcı olmak gibi bir işlevinin olduğu, yani atasözlerinin barındırdığı hayatî bilgiyi bozulmadan gelecek nesillere iletmede yardımcı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. In this study, the relation between proverbs and humor has been examined in or¬der to determine what the function of humor in proverbs is, and to determine with which understanding the humor element is created in proverbs. The proverbs that are included in the study have been selected from the book Proverbs and Idioms 1 writ-ten by Omer Asım Aksoy. 59 proverbs, which were determined to be humorous, were selected by the Sampling Method, and were examined in the scope of the study. In the examination stage of the study, it was observed that the humor in prov-erbs was created to compensate a missing point. It was also observed in which humor hypotheses and which associations and how the humors were formed and created under which humor styles. The data obtained at the end of the examinations were classified to be used in discussion that was planned to solve the problem of the study according to the missing points that were compensated in the proverbs, humor hy-pothe¬ses, the rhetoric, and the formal styles of the proverbs that helped the crea¬tion of the humor. According to the table that appeared after the classification, the func-tion of the humor in proverbs and the understanding in which they were created were discussed. At the end of the discussions, it was determined that the humor was cre-ated with an understanding that is not welcomed in our present day and with associa-tions mainly about the reproductive and excretion organs or associated with an ani-mal, were intended to despise, and were aggressive. In addition, at the end of the same discussion, it was also determined that the hu¬mor that existed in order to compensate a missing point in the proverbs helped to attract the attention to the message carried by the proverb, to ensure that the message is understood and remembered; in other words, to help the proverbs be transferred to future generations without disrupting the vital information included in the proverb.
