Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinin infertiliteye ilişkin bilgi düzeyi ve tutumları ile bilgi düzeyi ve tutumlarının bazı sosyodemografik değişkenlere göre (cinsiyet, yaş, cinsel sağlık eğitimi alıp almama, cinsel davranışlarda bulunma durumu, çevresinde infertilite sorunu yaşayan kişilerin olup olmaması, gelecekte çocuk sahibi olma ile ilgili planları ve sağlığa yönelik davranışları) farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının incelenmesidir. Araştırmada betimsel yönelimli tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında Türkiye'de 21 devlet üniversitesinde lisans eğitimine devam eden 5002 kadın, 4691'i erkek olmak üzere 9693 üniversite öğrencisi katılmıştır. Bu araştırmada üniversite öğrencilerinin infertilite ile ilgili bilgi düzeyini değerlendirmek için İnfertilite Bilgi Testi; tutumlarını belirlemek için İnfertiliteye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin sosyo-demografik bilgilerine ilişkin verilerin elde edilmesinde 39 sorudan oluşan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 22.0 paket programından yararlanılarak yüzde ve frekans dağılımları, bağımsız gruplar için t-testi, tek yönlü ANOVA, Scheffe ve Dunnett C testleri kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonucunda üniversite öğrencilerinin infertilite ile ilgili bilgi düzeyinde önemli eksikliklerin olduğu ve infertiliteye yönelik tutumlarının olumluya yakın olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca infertilite ile ilgili bilgi düzeyinin cinsiyet, yaş, cinsel sağlık eğitimi alıp almama, cinsel davranışlarda bulunma durumu, çevresinde infertilite sorunu yaşayan kişilerin olup olmaması, gelecekte çocuk sahibi olma ile ilgili planları, kafein tüketimi, sigara kullanımı, alkol kullanımı, vücut kitle indeksi değişkenlerine göre; infertiliteye yönelik tutumların ise cinsiyet, cinsel sağlık eğitimi alıp almama, cinsel davranışlarda bulunma durumu, çevresinde infertilite sorunu yaşayan kişilerin olup olmaması, gelecekte çocuk sahibi olma ile ilgili planları, kafein tüketimi, alkol kullanımı, vücut kitle indeksi değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of knowledge and attitudes of university students about infertility and the variables that can affect the level of knowledge and attitudes. For this purpose, it has been investigated whether the level of knowledge and attitudes of university students about infertility differ according to socio-demographic variables (gender, age, taking sexual health education, sexual relationship experience, existence of an infertile individual in the social network, plans about having child and behaviors about health). In this study descriptive survey model was used. The research was carried out on 9693 university students (5002 of sample were female, 4691 of sample were male) studying at state universities in Turkey during the 2016-2017 education year. Infertility Knowledge Test was used to assess the level of knowledge about infertility. Attitudes toward Infertility Scale was used to assess the attitude towards infertility. Personal Information Form consisting of 39 questions was given to university students in order to have their socio-demographic information. SPSS 22.0 was used for all statistical analysis. Percentage and frequency distribution, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe and Dunnett C tests were used for statistical analysis. As a result of this research, it was observed that university students had significant deficiencies in the level of knowledge about infertility and their attitudes towards infertility were close to positive. In addition, the level of knowledge related to infertility show significant differences in terms of gender, age, taking sexual health education, sexual relationship experience, existence of an infertile individual in the social network, plans about having child, caffeine consumption, smoking, alcohol use, body mass index variables. On the other hand, attitudes towards infertility show significant differences in terms of gender, taking sexual health education, sexual relationship experience, existence of an infertile individual in the social network, plans about having child, caffeine consumption, alcohol use, body mass index variables.
