Özet
Günümüzün sanayi ötesi toplumunda bilgi en önemli varlık konumundadır. Bilgi üretiminde de üniversiteler, ön plana çıkmıştır. Türk toplumunda tarım toplumundan doğrudan sanayi ötesi topluma geçiş gerçekleştirilmeye çalışılmaktadır. Mevcut durumda 80 milyonluk nüfusun neredeyse 7 milyonu yükseköğrenim görmektedir. Ortaöğretimi yeni bitirmiş gençler kadar, iş değiştirmek isteyen orta yaş nüfusunun da yükseköğrenim talebinde bulunuşu her geçen gün artmaktadır. Yükseköğretime başlarken, öğrenim sonucunda elde edilecek meslek ve istihdam olanakları alan seçiminde önemlidir. Ancak her zaman yükseköğrenime başlamayla bitiş arasında istihdam ve mesleki tutumda örtüşme oluşmamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı da istihdam olanağı yüksek, orta ve düşük düzeyde olan alanlarda yükseköğretime başlayan ve bitiş aşamasındaki öğrencilerin istihdam beklentilerinde ve mesleki tutumlarında kararlılığın sorgulanmasıdır. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda 2177 öğrenci ile anket çalışması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Alan çalışması Trakya Üniversitesi'nde yüksek istihdam olanağına sahip tıp ve ilahiyat, orta düzeyde istihdam olanaklarına sahip mühendislikle iktisadi ve idari bilimler, düşük istihdam olanaklarına sahip fen fakültelerinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, genel olarak ilk ve son sınıf öğrencilerinde fakülte ayrımı olmaksızın istihdam beklentilerinde kararlılığı göstermektedir. Bunun anlamıysa yükseköğrenim aşamasında öğrencilerin istihdam beklentilerinde bilinçli tercih yaptıklarıdır. Halbuki mesleki tutumda genel olarak bir ayrışmanın varlığı tespit edilmiştir. Bu ayrışma ise mesleki tutumda olumsuz bir dönüşüme işaret etmektedir. Dolayısıyla da öğrencilerde öğrenimlerine başladıklarında mevcut olan mesleki ilginin zamanla azaldığı görülmektedir.

Information is the most important asset in today's industrial society. Therefore, Universities are at the forefront in information production. In Turkish society, the transition from agricultural society to post-industrial society is attempted. In the current situation, almost 7 million of the 80 million population is enrolled in higher education. The demand for higher education is increasing day by day for the middle-aged people who want to change jobs as well as young people who have just completed secondary education. When starting higher education, it is important to choose the profession and employment areas that will be achieved as a result of education. However, there is always no overlap between employment and professional attitudes between the beginning and the end of higher education. The aim of this study is to question the determination of the employment expectations and professional attitudes of the students who start and end higher education in areas with high, medium and low employment opportunities. In line with the purpose of the study, a survey was carried out with 2177 students. The survey was carried out in the Faculties of Medicine and Theology, which have high employment opportunities at the Trakya University, and in the Faculties of Engineering, Economics and Administrative Sciences which have mid-level employment opportunities, and in the Faculties of Science with low employment opportunities. Findings generally show a stability of employment expectancy in first and last year students without faculty discrimination. This means that they make the conscious choice of students in higher education. However, in the professional attitude, the existence of a general separation has been determined. This decomposition points to a negative transformation in occupational attitudes. Therefore, it is observed that the occupational interest that exists when students start their education has decreased in time.
