Özet (Çeviri)

ABSTRACT After having a look at the history and economic and cultural life of Tokat, the formation and development of the tradition of“aşıklık”(public poetry) was examined. As for as we could find out the first“aşık”(public poet who told poems playing his traditional instrument“saz”) of the city lived in 16th Century. We observe a great increase in the number of the poets who lived in the proceeding centuries. After the settlement of“Erzurumlu Emrah”in Tokat, the local poets of Tokat regarded him as a master poet and thus was formed a new branch of poetry. The first times of a“aşık”and his taking a pseudonym is very important. How do“aşık”s become“aşık”s in Tokat? How do they take pseudonyms? How do they become master poets? All of the aforementioned questions were examined. Then a list was formed including the names, pseudonyms of the poets who grew up in Tokat as well as the centuries they lived in. The successors of Erzurumlu Emrah were determined and shown in a scheme. It was observed that the poets of Tokat become poets either traditionally or because of their talent. It was determined that they were affected from their predecessors and participating in singing-poetry societies were among other factors leading them to become poets. Social and individual problems, love and national emotions were among the most frequently handled themes. While most of the poets took their pseudonyms from their master poets, there are others who took their pseudonyms their dreams and others who used the name of their profession as their pseudonyms (aşık). The life and literary features of Ceyhuni were examined and 63 poems of his were presented, 5 incompleted 58 completed. Ceyhuni one of the foregoing poets was introduced in every aspect.
