SUMMARY This research has been done in order to determine the attitudes of the teachers employing in the secondary education institions over the curriculum development. Administrating this researchduring the one year period resource booksand researchs about the subject which have been examined; research has been projected and means of data gathering have been developed. All the high schools applying the academical programme present in Ankara constitues the research population. Research population has been limited with the teachers who are employing in the secondary education institutions and lecturing the lycee one class present in Ankara. 230 teachers, constituted the research samples who are employing in different high schools totally nine schools, seperated to three groups according to socio economik status (low- moderate- high), each status has three schools, and lecturing the lycee one classes present in Ankara. A questionnaire form has been developed as the means of data gathering in the research in order to apply it to teachers. The questionnaire form constitutes totally 43 questions, by seperating into two parts; first part includes 4 and second part includes 39 questions. At the end of the application og questionnaire form gathered data have been presented in the crosswise tables with numbers and percentages. At the end of the research it has been understood that Ministry of National Education did not get the opions of teachers while changing the curriculum and most of the teachers don't have any idea about the works and teachers do not know the curriculum development but wanted to remove this absence and desired to get an active duty in curriculum development commissions. -m-Teachers suggested that curriculum development should be done by a group of people constitutes of specialist, students, guardians of tehe students, teachers and the authorities of the minister and wanted to give evaluation reports periodically in order to increase the effects of schools in the curriculum development. Teachers have an opinion about the benefits of participating the curriculum development facilities over the teachers that subjects should be lectured appropriate to student's ability, need and interest so there will be an increase in the work performance and a decrease in the disagreements and conflicts between the directories. Against the results developed after the research the suggestions such as teachers should take inservice training programme, participating the curriculum development programme being changed and constituting a teacher's company in the curriculum development programme of the Ministry of National Education Central Organization are the most effective suggestions. -IV-
