Özet
Gizli dil, insanlar arasında iletişimi özel ve gizli bir yolla sağlayan, bir şifre veya parola görevinde olan söyleyiş tarzıdır. Elimizdeki yazılı kaynaklardan yola çıkarak Karahanlı dönemine kadar gidebildiğimiz bu söyleyiş tarzı, günümüzde de hâlâ canlılığını çeşitli mecralarda korumaktadır. Gizli dil temel başlığı altında incelediğimiz Kayseri'nin Develi ilçesinde yaşayan esnafın dili bu tezin konusudur. Çalışma özel (gizli) dil, argo ve jargon terim ve kavramlarının ayrıntılı incelenmeye çalışıldığı giriş bölümüyle başlamaktadır. Bu bölümde bu terim ve kavramlar incelendikten sonra yapılan çalışmanın hangi kategoriye girdiği ifade edilmiştir. Daha sonra ana malzemenin yer aldığı ikinci bölüm gelmektedir. Tam anlamıyla saha çalışmasına dayanan bu tez, esnafın kendi ağzından derlenmiş ve sonra yazıya geçirilmiştir. Yazıya geçirilen kelimelerin anlamları, nasıl kullanıldıkları örnek cümlelerle sunulmuştur. Böylece derlenen malzemenin sadece Develi'nin esnafı tarafından anlaşılıyor olması dikkatlere sunularak Türklük bilimine katkı sağlaması hedeflenmiştir. Derlenen kelimelerin oluşumuna bakıldığında esas unsurun mecaz olduğu görülmektedir. Mecaz dışında anlam daralması, genişlemesi, deyim aktarmaları, yabancı kelimelerin farklı anlamda kullanılması gibi daha birçok yöntemin kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde derlenen malzemeyle ilgili dikkat çekici hususiyetlerden bahsedilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Develi esnafının oluşturmuş olduğu dil, bilim dünyasına sunulmuş ve sadece Türk dili çalışmalarına değil; halk bilimi, sosyoloji ve psikoloji gibi birçok alana katkı sağlanarak yaşayan kültür gözler önüne serilmiştir.

Secret language is the way people speak in a password or password role, providing communication between people in a private and confidential way. This way of saying that we can go up to Karahanlı period by going out from written sources in our hands still preserves its vibrancy in various circles today. This thesis is the language of tradesmen living in the Develi district of Kayseri where we studied under the heading of the secret language. The study begins with an introductory section where detailed (hidden) language, slang and jargon terms and concepts are studied in detail. In this section, it is expressed in which category the work done after these terms and concepts are examined. Then there is the second part where the main material is placed. This thesis, which is a field study in full, was compiled from the tradesman's own mouth and then passed to the writer. The meanings of the words passed in the text are presented as examples of how they are used. Thus, it is aimed to contribute to the science of Turkishness by giving attention to the fact that the material that is compiled is understood only by Develinin shopkeepers. When we look at the formation of the collected words, it is seen that the main element is metaphorical. It has been found out that many other methods are used, such as narrowing and expansion of meaning outside the metaphor, transfer of idioms, use of foreign words in different meanings. In the conclusion part, remarkable features are mentioned about the material that is compiled. With this work, the language that the Develi tradition has formed has been presented to the world of science and not only for Turkish language studies, folklore, sociology and psychology have been contributed to many areas such as the living culture has been exposed.
