Özet
Tarih ve Siyer kaynakları bi'set öncesine dair bilgiler aktarsalar da esas itibariyle tarih yazıcılığı Hz. Peygamber'in peygamber olduğu zaman ve sonrasına odaklanmıştır. Hz. Peygamber'in annesi Âmine ve babası Abdullah, dünya tarihinin seyrini değiştiren bir evlâdın ebeveyni olmalarına rağmen çok fazla tanınmamaktadırlar. Bu onların İslâm öncesinde vefat etmiş olmaları ile ilgili olduğu kadar, onlar hakkında var olan dağınık bilgilerin bir araya toplanılarak ortaya konulmamış olması ile de ilgilidir. Allah Rasûlü'nü ve mesajını iyi kavrayabilmenin önemli adımlarından biri de onun içinde yetiştiği aileyi daha çok tanımaktan geçmektedir. İslâm coğrafyasının tamamında, özellikle de Türkî toplumlarda Hz. Peygamber'in ebeveynine karşı derin bir saygı vardır. Bununla beraber sahabe döneminden itibaren onların dinî ve uhrevî durumu tartışıla gelmiş, cennete gireceklerini söyleyenlerin yanı sıra, giremeyeceklerini savunanlar da çıkmıştır. Tarih boyunca konu ile ilgili lehte ve aleyhte onlarca Arapça, Farsça ve Türkçe kitap, risale ve makale kaleme alınmıştır. Biz bu tezimizde inanç tartışmalarının gölgesinde kalan bu iki önemli simanın hayat hikâyesini tespit etmeye, haklarında rivayet edilen olağan ve olağanüstü nakiller ile inançlarına taalluk eden verileri bir bütünlük içinde derleyip ele almaya çalıştık.

Although the sources of Islamic history and biography of Holy prophet (pbh) (al-Sīra) provide information on his pre-prophethood period, history writing essentially focuses on his Holiness the Prophet's prophetical tenure and afterwards. Not so well-known are His Holiness the Prophet's mother, Âmine and His father, Abdullah, despite them being the parents of a son who changed the course of world history. This is as much because of their demise before Islam as because the scattered information pertaining to them is yet to be pooled and presented. One of the important steps to understand the Messenger of Allah and His messages is to know more about the family in which He grew up and to ascertain the values He gained from the family. In all the Islamic geographıes, notably in Turkish society, there has been deep reverence for the parents of His Holiness the Prophet. Nonetheless, since the Companion's period, their situation/status vis-à-vis the world and the afterlife has been discussed; there have been some scholars who say that they will enter Heaven (Arabic: جنّة Jannah), while others have argued that they will not. Throughout history, tens of Arabic, Persian, and Turkish books, booklets, and essays have been penned for and against on this issue, and these works have significantly affected the perceptions and beliefs regarding them. We, in this thesis, sought to ascertain the life stories of these twain important faces that have stayed under the shadow of faith discussions and to examine scholars' assessment of the narratives concerning their faith as well as the ordinary and extraordinary accounts narrated about them, gleaning as a whole and with a view to ascertaining the perception of them.
