Özet
Sosyal Bilgiler dersi ve programının amacı, hedef kitle durumundaki öğrencilere; uygulanacak farklı yaklaşım, yöntem, teknik ve stratejilerle motivasyon ve tutumlarını olabildiğince üst seviyeye yükselterek, Türk Milli Eğitimi'nin genel amaçları doğrultusunda beklenen davranışların kazandırılmasıdır. Ulaşılmak istenen kazanımların gerçekleşme seviyesinin belirlenebilmesi ve bunları iyileştirme imkânlarının geliştirilebilmesi için, öğrencilerin diğer derslerde olduğu gibi bu dersteki motivasyon ve tutumlarını etkileyen temel değişkenlerin belirlenmesi oldukça önemlidir. Bunun için yapılacak bilimsel çalışmaların, Sosyal Bilgiler dersi ve bununla ilgili kazanımların gelecekteki tasarımları ve şekillenmesindeki işlevleri, ayrıca değerlidir. Sosyal Bilgiler dersi, içinde çok sayıda farklı disiplini barındıran sosyal bilimlerin orta öğretim kademesinde yürütülen önemli derslerinden biridir. Bu derse ilişkin kazanımlar ile bu kazanımlara ulaşmanın en önemli araçları arasında yer alan motivasyon ve tutumlara yönelik araştırmaların zaman içinde yenilenmesi kaçınılmazdır. Zira sürekli ve hızla değişen dünya eğitim koşullarını, girdilerini ve çıktılarını da değiştirmektedir. Bu olguya bağlı olarak değişen Sosyal Bilgiler eğitim programına yönelik öğrencilerin motivasyon ve tutumlarının incelenmesini kapsayan bu çalışmada; konuya ilişkin önceki çalışmalardan da yararlanılarak motivasyonun boyutları, kuramları ve eğitimle ilişkisi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, araştırma modeli olarak tarama modelinden yararlanılmıştır. 5'li likert tipi motivasyon ve tutum ölçeklerinin kullanıldığı bu çalışma ile ortaokul öğrencilerinin Sosyal Bilgiler dersine yönelik motivasyon ve tutumlarının mevcut durumu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışma ile gerek öğrencilerin isteklendirilme ve olumlu tutumlara yöneltilme ve gerekse ilgili kurumların, Sosyal Bilgiler dersinin gelecek tasarımına ilişkin görüş ve kararlarının oluşumuna katkı sunması umulmaktadır.

The aim of the Social Studies course and program is to provide students with the target audience; to increase the motivation and attitudes as much as possible with the different approaches, methods, techniques and strategies to be applied and to gain the expected behaviors in line with the general aims of Turkish National Education. In order to determine the realization level of the achievements to be aimed and to improve the opportunities for improvement, it is crucial to determine the basic variables that affect the motivation and attitudes of the students in this course as in other courses The functions of scientific studies in shaping and designing Social Studies course and related educational outcomes in future are also valuable. Social Studies course is one of the important courses carried out in secondary education level of social sciences which includes many different disciplines. It is inevitable that the researches related to the motivations and attitudes, which are among the most important means of achieving this course and achieving these gains, will be renewed over time. Because the world is changing constantly and rapidly changing educational conditions, inputs and outputs. In this study involving the motivation and attitudes of the students towards the Social Studies education program which changes depending on this phenomenon; the dimensions of motivation, theories and their relationship with education were also discussed by exploiting the previous studies. In this study, scanning model was used as a research model. In this study, 5-point Likert-type motivation and attitude scales were used to determine the current state of motivation and attitudes of secondary school students towards Social Studies course. What this study, it is hoped that both students will be encouraged and directed to positive attitudes, an the relavent institutions will contribute to the formation of opinions and decisions regarding the future design of the Social Studies course.
