Özet

Bu araştırmada, 11-14 yaş grubu öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki belirlenmiş ve bazı değişkenlere göre öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada var olan durumun belirlenmesine çalışıldığı için betimsel araştırma modeli kapsamında Survey Yöntemi (Alan taraması) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Samsun ili Atakum ilçesinde ortaokul seviyesinde eğitim gören 95 kız (%47,5) ve 105 erkek (%52,5) öğrenci olmak üzere toplam 200 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla Feryal Beykal Orhun tarafından geliştirilen, Görsel Sanatlar Dersine İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği, sosyal beceri düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla Yasemin Yurdakavuştu Doyran tarafından geliştirilen, Çocuklar İçin Sosyal Beceri Ölçeği ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada toplanan verilerin hesaplanmasında ve değerlendirilmesinde IBM SPSS 21.0 yazılımı kullanılmıştır. 11-14 yaş grubu öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutum ölçeğinden alınan puanlarla çocuklar için sosyal beceri ölçeği puanları arasındaki istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı, pozitif yönde ve düşük olarak bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin eğitim aldıkları okula göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin cinsiyetlerine göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumlarında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunurken, çocuklar için sosyal beceri düzeylerinde anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin yaşlarına göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. 11 yaşındaki öğrencilerin 14 yaşındaki öğrencilere oranla görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları daha olumludur.11 yaşındaki öğrencilerin sosyal beceri düzeyleri 13 ve 14 yaşındaki öğrencilere oranla daha olumludur. 12 yaşındaki öğrencilerin sosyal beceri düzeylerinin 14 yaşındaki öğrencilere oranla daha olumludur. Öğrencilerin sınıf düzeylerine göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. 5. sınıftaki öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları 8. sınıftaki öğrencilere göre daha olumludur. 5. sınıftaki öğrencilerin sosyal beceri düzeyleri 7 ve 8. sınıftaki öğrencilere göre daha olumludur. 6. sınıftaki öğrencilerin sosyal beceri düzeyleri 8. sınıftaki öğrencilere göre daha olumludur. Öğrencilerin sınıf mevcutlarına göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ix ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin okuldaki başarı algılarına göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin anne ve babalarının eğitim durumlarına göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersinin işlendiği yere göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin herhangi bir resim kursu alıp almama durumlarına göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Herhangi bir resim kursu değişkenine göre görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutum ve sosyal beceri düzeyleri resim kursu almadığını belirtenlere göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Yapılan araştırmada elde edilen veriler ışığında, 11-14 yaş grubu öğrencilerin görsel sanatlar dersine ilişkin tutumları ile sosyal beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönde bir ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Öğrencilerin sosyal beceri düzeylerinin gelişimine katkı sağlamak amacıyla görsel sanatlar dersine olan ilgi ve tutumlarını arttırmak görsel sanatları sevdirmek amacıyla çeşitli etkinlikler planlanıp uygulanabilir.

In this research, the relationship between visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the students at the age of 11 - 14 was determined. The class attitudes and the social skill levels of the students were examined with respect to some variables as well. Descriptive research model, which includes Survey method (field scanning) was employed in the study, as the existing situation was attempted to be identified. The research study group consisted of 95 (47,5%) girls students and 105 (52,5%) boys students with the total population of 200 students. The students attended middle school in the academic year of 2018-2019 in Atakum-Samsun. In the study, few tools were utilized to determine the attitudes of the students for visual arts class. First of these tools was the attitude scale of visual arts class develop by Feryal Beykal Orhun. The second one was social skill scale for children developed by Yasemin Yurdakavuştu Doyran to determine the social skill leves. The last one was personel information form prepared by the researcher. A computer software (IBM SPSS 21.0) was utilized to compute and evaluate the collected data and statistical significance level was obtained smaller than 0.05 (p<0.05). Statistically significant, positive, and low relationship between the points acquired from the scale of visual arts class attitude of the children at the ages of 11-14 and the points acquired from the social skill scale for the children, was obtained. A statistically significant relationship between the visual arts class attitudes of the children and social skill levels of the children was obtained with respect to their schools. Moreover, statistical significance was acquired on the visual arts class attitudes of the children regarding their genders, whereas there was no statistical significance on social skill levels of children related to the genders. A statistically significant relationship between visual arts class attitude of the children and the social skill levels of the children, was obtained with respect to children's age. Visual arts class attitudes of the children at the age of 11 was more favourable compared to that of the children at the age of 14. Social skill levels of the children at the age of 11 were more favourable compared to that of the children at the ages of 13 and 14. Social skill levels of the children at the age of 12 were more favourable compared to that of the children at the age of 14. A significant relationship between grade levels of the children and the visual arts class attitudes of them, was acquired. The visual arts class attitudes of the children at the 5th grade were more favourable compared to that of the children at the xi 8 th grade. Social skill levels of the children at the 5th grade were more favourable compared to that of the children at the 7th and 8th grades, whereas social skill levels of the children at the 6th grade were more favourable compared to that of the children at the 8th grade. A significant difference between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children regarding classroom size, was obtained. There was no significant relationship between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children with respect to success perception of the children. There was no significant relationship between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children related to education status of the children's parents as well. A significant relationship between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children with respect to the place of the classrooms, was obtained and a significant relationship between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children related to attendance on additional painting classes, was obtained as well. Obtained results in the research show that there is a statistically significant and positive relationship between the visual arts class attitudes and social skill levels of the children at the ages of 11-14. Various activities involving visual arts elements can be planned and applied to increase the attitudes and attention of the children on visual arts class, which increases the social skill levels of the children.
