Özet
Kentler, hem bireyin hayatını sürdürebilmesi, sosyal ilişkiler kurabilmesi ve bu ilişkileri devam ettirebilmesi hem de bu ilişkileri gelecek nesillere aktarabilmesi açısından son derece önemli yaşam mekânlarıdır. Geçirdiği tarihsel süreç içerisinde kimliğini kaybeden, küreselleşme ile kimliksizleşmeye yüz tutan kentler, mimarlık ortamının başlıca sorunları arasında yer almaktadır. Kentin mevcut sorunlarına çözüm arayışı çok uzun bir süre önce başlamış, ütopya kavramı doğmuş, ortaya koyulduğu her dönem farklı bir karakter sergilemiştir. 20. yüzyıl selamlandığında, bilim ve teknolojideki gelişmelerin etkisiyle kavram yön değiştirmiş, fikirlerini kentin gelecek kurgusu üzerine yoğunlaştırmış, gerektiğinde kent kavramını parçalamıştır. Mevcut düzenin sorunlarından ilgisini çekmiş ve geleceğin problemleri üzerine kafa yormuştur. Bu çalışmada aidiyet duygusu ve birey üzerine etkileri, kimlik ve toplumsal kimlik, kent kimliği ve küreselleşmenin etkileri, ütopya kavramı, gelişimi ve distopya kavramı araştırılmış, elde edilen bilgiler üzerinden belirlenen 20. yüzyıl kent ütopyaları incelenmiştir. 20. yüzyıl kent ütopyaları, hem teknolojiyi kuşanması hem de büyük ölçüde ütopyanın 'sorunsuz gelecek' tasvirini reddetmesi açısından önem taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, belirlenen kent ütopyaları üzerinden günümüz dünyası göz önünde tutularak, öngörüleri ve çözüm önerileri analiz etmek ve geleceğin dünyasına yönelik çıkarımları yorumlamaktır.

Cities, both to establish an individual's social relationships to be able to sustain their lives and to continue in this way, as well as to be able to transfer to future generations today, are extremely important places of life in the world. Cities, which lost their identities in the historical process they have gone through, and who face globalization and disidentification, are among the main problems in the field of architecture. The search for solutions to the current problems of the city began a long time ago, the concept of utopia was born, and revealing a different character every year. When the 20th century was greeted, the concept changed direction with the effect of the developments in science and technology, concentrated its ideas on the future fiction of the city and, when necessary, dismantled the concept of the city. It drew attention from the problems of the present order and pondered over the problems of the future. In this study, the sense of belonging and its effects on the individual, identity and social identity, the effects of urban identity and globalization, the concept of utopia, its development and the concept of dystopia were explored and the 20th century urban utopias determined based on the information obtained were examined. 20th century urban utopias are important in terms of both embracing technology and largely rejecting the“trouble-free future”depiction of utopia. In this context, the aim of the study is to analyze the predictions and solution proposals by considering today's world on the target city utopias and to interpret implications for the future world.
