Özet
Giysiler, basit bir şekilde yalnızca bedeni kaplayan bir örtü ya da toplumsal olarak onaylanmış bir giyim eşyası değil, bedeni farklı şekilde yansıtan araçlar olarak işlev görmüşlerdir. Giysilerdeki genel siluet formlarının oluşturulmasında önemli bir paya sahip olan iç giyimler, vücudun desteklenmesi ve biçimlendirilmesi sonucunda giysi siluetlerini görsel olarak değiştirmiştir. Kadın iç giyim çeşitlerini tarihsel gelişimi ile ele alan bu araştırmanın amacı, iç giyimlerin giysi siluetini etkileyen form özelliklerinin ve kullanım amacındaki değişimlerin belirlenmesi olmuştur. Kadın iç giyim çeşitlerinden dış giyime şekil ve form veren korse, sütyen ve iç etek formları araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı doğrultusunda tarama modeli kullanılmış ve ele alınan iç giyim görselleri alt problemlere göre tasnif edilerek, iç giyimler kullanıldığı yıl itibariyle analiz formları ile incelenmiştir. Araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan görsel analiz tablosuna yerleştirilerek incelenen alt ve üst beden formlarını şekillendiren iç giyim çeşitlerine ait görseller; kullanıldığı dönem, kullanım amacı, model, kumaş, malzeme ve dikim özellikleri açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Kadınlar, tarih boyunca değişim ve yeniden yapılanma arayışında tercih ettikleri iç giyimler nedeniyle hareket özgürlükleri kısıtlanmıştır. Buna rağmen, sosyal konumlarını nitelendirdiğine inandıkları dış giysi formlarını sağlayan iç giyimleri kullanmışlardır. Değerlendirmeler doğrultusunda alt beden formunu şekillendiren iç giyimlerin, üst beden formunu şekillendiren iç giyim çeşitlerine göre daha fazla biçimsel değişikliğe uğrayarak geliştiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Clothing simply functioned not only as a covering the body, or as a socially approved item of clothing, but as tools that reflected the body differently. The underwears, which had an important share in the creation of the general silhouette forms in the clothes, visually altered the clothes silhouettes as a result of the support and formatting of the body. The aim of this research, which deals with the historical development of women's underwear types, was to determine the form characteristics and changes in the intended use of underwear that affect the clothing silhouette. The corset, bra and underskirt forms, which give shape and form to the outer clothes from the women's underwear types, formed a sample of the research. For the purpose of the research, the screening model was used and the underwear visuals were classified according to sub-problems and underwear was examined with analysis forms as of the year in which they were used visuals of underwear types that shape the upper and lower body forms that are examined by placing them in the visual analysis table prepared by the researcher were evaluated in terms of the period in which they were used, the purpose of use, the model, fabric, material and planting characteristics. Women have been restricted in their freedom of movement because of their preferred underwear in search of change and restructuring throughout history. Nevertheless, they used underwear that provided outerwear forms which they believed to characterize their social status. In the light of the evaluations, it was concluded that underwear, which shapes the lower body form, undergoes more formal changes than the underwear types that shape the upper body form.
