Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, ebeveynlerinin çocuk yetiştirme tutumları, çocukların bu tutumları nasıl algıladıkları ve bu algının çocuğun benlik saygısını ne şekilde etkilediğini saptamaktır. Bu amaç çerçevesinde; Özel Erdemli Birey Anadolu Lisesi'nden 100 öğrenci ile Yenişehir Anadolu Lisesi'nden 100 öğrencinin benlik saygısı ile algılanan aile tutumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olup olmadığı, ebeveyn tutumu ve benlik saygısının cinsiyete, medeni duruma, devlet ve özel okul faktörüne, ekonomik durumlar gibi faktörlere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediği incelenmiştir. Araştırmada elde ettiğimiz bulgulara bakacak olursak Anne Tutum Ölçeği' nin Anne kabul/ilgi/sevgi alt boyutunun yaş ve kardeş sayısı ile negatif yönde ve istatiksel olarak anlamlı ilişkili olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak Baba Tutum Ölçeği' nin baba sıkı denetim/kontrol alt boyutu kardeş sayısı ve anne sıkı denetim/kontrol ile pozitif yönde; anne kabul/ilgi/sevgi ile ise negatif yönde anlamlı ilişkili oluğu görülmüştür. Yine araştırmada anne kabul/ilgi/sevgi puanları ve gelir düzeyi değişkeni arasında pozitif önde olumlu bir korelasyon ve erkek ergenlerin benlik saygısı oranının kızlardan daha yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.

The aim of this research is to determine the methods of child care education of the parents, the attitude of child's perception and how this perception affects self respect of the child. Within this scope, 100 students from Privece Erdemli Birey Anctolion high school and 100 from Yenişehir Anatolion high school were surveyed on; ıf there is any significant relationship between self respect and the attitude of the parents. Further more the differences between parenting, gender, perception, morital status, also state school, private school and aconomic factors are the conditions which they were analysed. The research also shows the negative affect of the mothers attitude scale which is acceptance, relation and love that affected by age and number of sibling. On the other hand the fathers attitude scale which is diciplin and control affect the child positivetely despite the age, the number of sibling and the mothers dicipline. Both mother's and the father's attitude scale is negatively related. Lastly the correlation factor of the mother's level of income and attitude scale affects the child positively. Besides what research suggests; teenage boys rate of the slf respect is at a higher level than teenage girls.
