Özet
the most important expense is the labor costs. It xs well known that Turkey has an andvantage on this point at least for now a days that it has lower labor costs. In order to compete against the other textile producing count ries, Turkey has to give more attension on this matter and also it has to increase its productivity. After solv ing technical personal problems as quick as possible and creating its own fashion, confection sector of Turkey can keep its activity m future world market. Textile and confection export, which is 2.5 milliar US Dollars worthed and also has about 31 percent share in total export, has to be improved more ; by using the given quatas completely, by producing more valuable goods, by exporting to new markets and by exporting new products which have no quatos on. Now a days textile and confection sector of Turkey is working in wore systematical way, it is applying more re searches, it has more exports. Therefore we can say that Turkish textile and confection sector will grow m the future thus it will get more share m the world market, it will also improve the quality of its goods. These new outcomes had also affected in the confection sec tor so that its labor intensive structure has changed gradu ally in to the capital-mtencive sturucture. Amazing developments, which have been taken place abroad, m syntetic and wool fibres and their goods, have to be follo wed very closely. Because, Turkish industry is very weak on these areas. In conclusion, we can say that the Turkish textile and confection sector is not only leading the Turkish industry, at the same time, this sector is leading also the Turkish exportotion. We can make same suggestions here for the tex tile and confections sector of Turkey to keep and, at the same time, to increase its present exportation. These sug gestions can be given as m the followings : - Beside using cotton, it has to use more wool and more syntetic fibres. - it has to follow, up to date technology. - it has to find new markets - it has to increase its productivity. - it has to change its strategy towards producing more valuable goods. aame other problemi*, which are not mentioned above, can be counted the lack of following the quality and standart measures. These will create great problems es-' pecially when Turkey joins to E.jj.q. In the world market, especially m confection sector, the most important expense is the labor costs.
