Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye ve Ege bölgesinin istihdam yapısını karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz ederek, Ege Bölgesindeki ihracatçı firmalar özelinde, işsizlikle mücadele stratejileri konusunda mevcut durumun ortaya konulması ve bu yönde geliştirilecek sosyal politikalara ışık tutmaktır. Çalışma kapsamında işsizlik ve istihdama ilişkin temel göstergelerde Ege Bölgesinin Türkiye geneline göre daha iyi bir performans sergilediği görülmüştür. İhracatın seyrine ilişkin karşılaştırmalarda da işsizlik ve istihdamda görülen sonuca paralel olarak Ege bölgesinin Türkiye geneli ortalamasının üzerinde bir performans ortaya koyduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte Ege bölgesinin ihracat ve istihdam hacminin dünyadaki diğer bölgelerle karşılaştırıldığında potansiyelini tam olarak kullanamadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. İhracatçıların görüş ve önerilerini dikkate alan katılımcı kamusal politikaların oluşturulması ve uygulanması sonucunda ihracat ve buna bağlı olarak istihdam artışı hedefine daha etkin bir şekilde ulaşılması mümkün olacaktır.

The aim of this study is to review the current situation in terms of anti-unemployment strategies and to shed light on what social policies should include accordingly, by comparing the employment structure of Turkey with that of the Aegean region on the basis of the exporter companies of the region, in particular. In the study, the basic indicators for unemployment and employment in the Aegean region have been found to exhibit a better performance than the general population in Turkey. In comparisons of the export trends, in line with the results seen in unemployment and employment, the Aegean region has displayed a higher performance than the overall average of Turkey. However, when the realizations of the Aegean region are compared with the realizations of other regions in the world, it is seen that the potential has not been exploited fully. With the creation and implementation of participatory public policies that take into consideration the opinions and suggestions of exporters, it will be possible to reach the target of exports and consequently the increase in employment more effectively.
