Özet
Organik kimyanın temel kavramları, özellikle de formül yazımı konusunun öğretiminde kullanılabilecek bir eğitsel oyun geliştirerek bu eğitsel oyunun öğretmen adaylarının akademik başarılarına etkisinin araştırıldığı bu çalışma, iki aşamada gerçekleştirilmiştir. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımlarından durum çalışması desenine uygun olarak yürütülen çalışmanın ilk aşamasında Organo Yapboz adı verilen oyun geliştirilmiş ve geliştirilen bu oyunu 63 öğretmen adayı oynamıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının oyun ile ilgili görüşleri SWOT analizi tekniğiyle toplanmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının SWOT analizi formuna yazdıkları metinlerin içerik analizinden oyunun güçlü ve zayıf yönleri ile yaratacağı fırsatlar ve oluşturacağı tehditler belirlenmiştir. Nicel araştırma yaklaşımlarından tek grup ön test-son test modeline uygun olarak gerçekleştirilen çalışmanın ikinci aşamasında geliştirilen oyunun akademik başarıya etkisi araştırılmıştır. Bu nedenle 2019-2020 öğretim yılı güz döneminde Gazi Üniversitesi Gazi Eğitim Fakültesi Kimya Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı'nda öğrenim gören 19 birinci sınıf öğretmen adayına öncelikle Organik Kimya Bilgi Testi uygulanmıştır. Daha sonra bu öğretmen adayları Organo Yapboz oyunuyla eğitim almış ve aynı test tekrar uygulanmıştır. Testlerden elde edilen veriler SPSS bilgisayar programında analiz edilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarından ve lise öğrencilerinden elde edilen verilere göre geliştirilen oyun ilgi çekici, zevkli ve öğreticidir. İnformal sınıf atmosferi gözlemlerine göre katılımcılar oyunu oynarken çok eğlenmiş, derslerin hep bu şekilde işlenmesini talep etmiştir. Nicel verilerin analizi sonucunda ise geliştirilen oyun kullanılarak verilen eğitimin kimya öğretmen adaylarının akademik başarılarını geliştirmede etkili olduğu bulunmuştur.

This study, which investigates the effects of this educational game on the academic success of prospective teachers by developing an educational game that can be used in the teaching of the basic concepts of organic chemistry, especially the formula writing, was carried out in two stages. In the first stage of the study, which was carried out in accordance with the case study pattern, one of the qualitative research approaches, the game called Organo Puzzle was developed and 63 teacher candidates played this game. Opinions of teacher candidates about the game were collected by using SWOT analysis technique. From the content analysis of the texts written by prospective teachers on the SWOT analysis form, the strengths and weaknesses of the game, the opportunities and threats to be created were determined. The effect of the game, which was developed in the second stage of the study, which was carried out in accordance with the single group pretest-posttest model, was investigated. For this reason, Organic Chemistry Knowledge Test was applied to 19 first grade pre-service teachers studying at Gazi University Gazi Education Faculty Chemistry Education Department in the fall semester of 2019-2020 academic year. Later, these teacher candidates were trained with Organo Puzzle game and the same test was applied again. The data obtained from the tests were analyzed in SPSS computer program. The game, developed according to the data obtained from prospective teachers and high school students, is interesting, enjoyable and instructive. According to the informal classroom atmosphere observations, the participants had a lot of fun while playing the game, demanding that the lessons always be handled in this way. As a result of the analysis of the quantitative data, it was found that the education given using the developed game was effective in improving the academic success of the chemistry teacher candidates.
