Özet

1980'li yıllar Türkiye tarihi açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu dönem oldukça önemli birçok siyasi ve sosyoekonomik hadiseyi içinde barındırır. Siyasi açıdan 12 Eylül 1980 Darbesi sürece damgasını vurmuştur ve bu tarihten sonra hiçbir şey eskisi gibi olmamıştır. Yurt genelinde siyasi tutuklanmaların ve idamların sayısı artmış, olağanüstü hal ilan edilmiştir. Bu olaylar neticesinde toplumda bir içe çekilme, sessizlik ve mutsuzluk dönemi hakim olmuştur. Ulusal ve uluslararası alanda 1980'li yılların ekonomik koşullarını Turgut Özal iktidarının politikaları belirlemiştir. Bu döneme hakim olan iktisat modelini serbest piyasa ekonomisi, liberalleşme ve neo-liberalleşme belirlemiştir. İthal ikame anlayışından vazgeçilmş ve 24 Ocak Kararları uygulamaya konulmuştur. 1980'li yıllarda toplumsal hayatta kentleşme bağlamında göç ve gecekondulaşmanın etkisi yoğun biçimde hissedilmeye başlanmıştır. Gecekondulaşmanın etkisiyle oluşan arabesk kültürü dönemin göze çarpan unsurlarındandır. 80'li yıllarda ikinci dalga feminizmin etkisiyle, cinsiyet rollerinden ve annelik olgusundan bağımsız olarak kadının toplumdaki yeri sorgulanmaya başlanmıştır. Türkiye'nin 1980'li yıllarına yön veren bu siyasi, ekonomik ve sosyal unsurlar Türk sineması objektifinden incelenerek açıklanmıştır. Kullanılan filmlerin bu dönemin tarihine ışık tutan birer belge niteliğinde olduğu saptanmıştır.

The 1980s have a place in the history of Turkey. There have been many significant social and political events in these years. The 1980 coup d'etat marks the political process of these years and nothing has been like before since this coup. The numbers of the political prisoners and the executions increased and emergency rules has been declared. As a result of these events, a period of withdrawal, silence and unhappiness has dominated the society. The policies of the rulership of Turgut Özal has determined the circumstances of economy in the national and international fields. The dominating economy model of the period has been free market economy, liberalization and neoliberalism. The understanding of import substitution has been abandoned and 24 January decisions have been put into practice. The effects of immigration and squatting in the context of urbanization has been perceived populously in the social life in the 1980s. The arabesque culture that arised by the effect of squatting is one of the remarkable elements of the period. The position of the women in the society has come under question independently of gender stereotyping and maternity phenomenon by the effect of a second wave feminism in the 1980s. These political, economic and social elements that has dominated the 1980s of Turkey are examined in regards to the Turkish Cinema. It is appointed that the films in question are documents setting light to the history of the period.
