Özet
Felsefe ve edebiyat disiplinlerinin ortak bir noktada buluştuğu disiplinlerarası bir çalışma olarak tasarlanan bu çalışma, erken modern dönemden itibaren felsefi tartışmaların merkezinde yer alan özne kavramını temeline alarak edebi metinlerin kökeninin ne olduğu ve bu metinlere anlamın kim tarafından verildiği sorularına yanıt bulmayı hedeflemektedir. Descartes'tan Heidegger'e kadar, hatta Heidegger'den sonra da sıklıkla dile getirilen öznenin kim olduğuna yönelik tartışma bu çalışmada metnin öznesinin kim olduğu boyutuna taşınmıştır. Edebi metinlere anlamın yazar tarafından mı, okur tarafından mı, yoksa metnin kendisi tarafından mı verildiği konusu özne felsefesi bağlamında tartışılmıştır. Özne felsefesinin temel tartışma konularını ve kavramsal çerçevesini ortaya koymak adına Descartes, İngiliz deneycileri, özne tartışmasında öne çıkan Alman düşünürler (Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche ve Husserl) ve son olarak Heidegger'in görüşleri hatırlatılmış ve yapılan tartışmalarda onların görüşlerinden faydalanılmıştır. Ayrıca, çağdaş Fransız ekolünün temsilcilerinin birbirini ne ölçüde etkilediği, ilgi alanları farklı olsa da Barthes, Derrida ve Lacan arasındaki görüş benzerliklerine değinilerek ortaya koyulmuştur. Özellikle Roland Barthes'ın“Yazarın Ölümü”başlıklı makalesi ve Göstergebilimsel Serüven başlıklı kitabı, Jacques Derrida'nın Gramatoloji ve Platon'un Eczanesi başlıklı eserleri, Jacques Lacan'ın ise Yazılar başlıklı eserine yer verilen bu çalışmada, post-yapısalcı düşüncenin kendisine mesele edindiği metnin anlamı ve yazarın statüsü gibi konular özne felsefesi bağlamında açıklanmış ve edebi metinlerin nesne statüsünden çıkıp yazarı öldürerek özne statüsüne geçiş sürecine ışık tutulmuştur.

Designed as an interdisciplinary study in which philosphical and literary conceptual frameworks are mingled, this study aims to answer questions of what the origin of literary texts is and who gives these texts their meanings by focusing on the concept of the subject that has been central to philosophical debates since the Early Modern Period. The debate concerning the identity of the subject which has often been voiced from Descartes to Heidegger and beyond is reopened in this study in terms of the identity of the textual subject. Whether meaning is given to literary texts by the author, the reader or the text itself is discussed within the context of the philosophy of the subject. In an attempt to expose the topics of discussion and conceptual framework of the philosophy of the subject, the views of some leading philosophers of the subject like Descartes, the British Empiricists, German philosophers (Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche and Husserl) and finally Heidegger will be overviewed and made use of in further discussions. In addition, despite the differences in their specialties, representatives of the contemporary French school of thought such as Barthes, Derrida and Lacan are examined to the extent that they influence each other considering their treatment of the subject. In particular, Roland Barthes' essay titled“The Death of the Author”and book titled Semiological Adventure, Jacques Derrida's books titled Grammatology and Plato's Pharmacy and Jacques Lacan's book titled Écrits are revisited in order to explicate the controversial issues of textual meaning and the status of author as well as to shed light upon literary texts' journey from objecthood to subjecthood.
