Özet
Araştırmada Okul Öncesi Eğitimde GEMS Destekli Eğitim Programının çocukların matematik becerileri üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada gerçek deneme modellerinden öntest sontest kontrol gruplu deneme modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunda, İstanbul'un Kağıthane ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı iki ayrı ilkokul bünyesindeki anasınıflarına devam eden 5-6 yaş grubunda olan, normal gelişim gösteren, araştırmaya katılımı ebeveynleri tarafından onaylanan daha önce matematik eğitimi almamış 40'ı deney grubu, 40'ı kontrol grubunda yer alan toplam 80 çocuk oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın bağımsız değişkeni Okul Öncesi Eğitimde GEMS Destekli Eğitim Programı iken, bağımlı değişkeni ise çocukların matematik becerileridir. Araştırma bağımsız değişkenin bağımlı değişken üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koyacak şekilde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın deney grubunda yer alan çocuklara 12 hafta süreyle haftanın üç günü Okul Öncesi Eğitimde Gems Destekli Eğitim Programı uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın kontrol grubunda yer alan çocuklar Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Okul Öncesi Eğitim Programını almaya devam etmişlerdir. Araştırmanın verileri Erken Matematik Yetenek Testi-3 (TEMA-3) aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın başında hem kontrol grubuna hem de deney grubuna öntest olarak Erken Matematik Yetenek Testi-3 A Formu uygulanmıştır. Deney grubunu oluşturan çocuklara verilen eğitimin ardından hem deney hem de kontrol grubuna sontest olarak Erken Matematik Yetenek Testi-3 B Formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada izleme testi olarak Erken Matematik Yetenek Testi-3 A Formu ise, sontest uygulamalarından sekiz hafta sonra deney grubunu oluşturan çocuklara uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler parametrik testlerden bağımsız gruplar için t-testi ve bağımlı gruplar için t-testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; Okul Öncesi Eğitimde GEMS Destekli Eğitim Programının çocukların matematik becerileri üzerinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır.

In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of the GEMS Supported Education Program in Preschool Education on children's mathematical skills. The experimental model with the pretest posttest control group was used. The study group of the research has consisted of the 5-6 age group attending kindergartens in two separate primary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the Kağıthane district of Istanbul, showing normal development, having no previous mathematics education whose participation in the research was approved by their parents, 40 experimental group, 40 control group total of 80 children were included. While the independent variable of the research is the GEMS Supported Education Program in Preschool Education, the dependent variable is children's mathematical skills. The research was designed to reveal the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. GEMS Supported Education Program in Preschool Education was performed to the children in the experimental group of the study, three days a week during 12 weeks. The children in the control group of the study have continued to receive the Ministry of National Education Preschool Education Program. The data of the research were collected through Test of Early Mathematics Ability -3 (TEMA-3). At the beginning of the study, Test of Early Mathematics Ability-3A Form was applied to both the control group and the experimental group as a pre-test. After the training given to the children in the experimental group, Test of Early Mathematics Ability-3B Form was applied to both the experimental and control groups as a posttest. As a follow-up test in the research, the Test of Early Mathematics Ability-3A Form was applied to the children in the experimental group eight weeks after the posttest applications. Obtained data were analyzed with t-test for independent groups and t-test for dependent groups from parametric tests. As a result of the research; it has been determined that the GEMS Supported Education Program in Preschool Education is effective on children's mathematics skills.
