Özet
Bu tezde birçok alanda ve türde eser kaleme alan tarihçi-edip Reşat Ekrem Koçu'nun queer öznelliği queer teori bağlamında incelenmektedir. Queer teori hem bilimsel bir çalışma alanı hem de sahada bir aktivizm alanı olarak normativitenin karşısında konumlanır. Heteronormatiflik mücadelesinden ivmelenen teori daha sonra tüm oluşları kapsayıcı bir yapıya bürünmüştür. Reşat Ekrem Koçu'nun metinleri ve öznelliği heteronormativitenin karşısında konumlanması dolayısıyla queerin sahasına girer. Bu tezde Koçu'nun queer pratiklerini Foucault'nun söylem-iktidar ilişkisi üzerinden düşünmenin imkânları araştırılırken ulus-devletin arzu ve talep ettiği özne olamamak bağlamında hayatı bir queer olarak deneyimleyen yazarın hayatındaki belirlenimsizlik queer teori bağlamında tartışılmaktadır. Reşat Ekrem Koçu daha önce bir queer okumaya tabi tutulmamıştır; bu tez ile Kızlarağasının Piçi adlı eserinde Osmanlı homoerotik kültüründen hareketle yazarın queer öznelliğinin söyleme yansıması ele alınacaktır. Koçu'nun, içinde bulunduğu heteronormiye tabiyet tedbiriyle alenen üstlendiği bir eşcinsel kimliği olmasa da onun eserlerinde, queer öznelliğinin izleri görülür. Koçu, sadece cinsel öznelliği dolayısıyla değil, ulus-devletin ulusal tarih tezinin karşısında imparatorluğu anlatmaya devam ederek de ötekidir. O, türlerin sınırlarını törpüleyerek anlatılarında da melezlik kurmasıyla da ötekidir. Tarihi edebiyatla, bilimi kurguyla karıştırarak kendine has anlatı türleri üretir. Bu tezde normun ve ötekinin yazar tarafından metinde anlamlandırma süreçleri ve ulusal heteroseksüelliğin dışında kalan ayrıntılar henüz Türkçe edebiyat eleştirisi kanonunda çok yer bulamamış queer eleştiri perspektifinden okunacaktır.

In this dissertation, queer subjectivity of Reşat Ekrem Koçu, the historian and author who has written works in many fields and genres, is analyzed in the context of queer theory. Queer theory stands against normativity both as a scientific field of study and as a field of activism. The theory, which gained momentum from its fight against heteronormativity, then turned into a structure that encompasses all existences. Reşat Ekrem Koçu's works and subjectivity is in the field of queer because of its position against heteronormativity. In this thesis, while investigating the possibilities of thinking about Koçu's queer practices through Foucault's discourse-power relationship, the indeterminacy in the life of the author who experiences life as a queer is discussed in the context of not being the subject desired and demanded by the nation-state. Reşat Ekrem Koçu has not been subjected to a queer reading before; in this thesis, the reflection of the author's queer subjectivity on discourse in the context of Ottoman homoerotic culture will be discussed in Kızlarağasının Piçi. Although Koçu does not have a homosexual identity that he has undertaken publicly due to the heteronormia measure he is in, his queer subjectivity can be seen in his works. Koçu is the other, not only because of its sexual subjectivity, but also by continuing to describe the empire against the national history thesis of the nation-state. He is the other in that he rasps the boundaries of genres and establishes hybridity in his narratives. He produces his own unique style of narrative by mixing history with literature, science with fiction. In this dissertation, the process of interpretation the norm and the other by the author in the text and the details outside of national heterosexuality will be read from the perspective of queer criticism, which has not yet found much place in the canon of Turkish literary criticism.
