Özet

Geometrik inşaların her an karşımızda olduğu dünyada bu inşalara ait olan nesnelerin anlamlandırılabilmesi bir zorunluluk teşkil etmektedir. Aksi takdirde zihnimiz temelsiz bir bilgi ile yoğrulacak olup anlam dünyasına sığdıramayacağı ifadelere kapılmış olacaktır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmada gerçekçi matematik eğitimi (GME) ve Geogebra'nın harmanlanmasıyla birlikte hacim konusunun öğretimini incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma grubu 12 devamlı öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Çalışma grubu belirlenirken maksimum çeşit örneklemesi tercih edilmiştir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden eylem araştırması kullanılmış olup elde edilen veriler betimsel ve içerik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçları araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan GME yaklaşımına uygun etkinlik kâğıtları, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları, video kayıtları ve ses kayıtlarıdır. Elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde öğrencilerin görselleştirme ve anlamlandırma süreçlerinde meydan gelen olumlu izlenimlerin öğrencilerin matematik cümlesi yazabilmesine olanak tanımakla birlikte matematiksel çıkarımlar yaparak çıktıları yorumlayabilmelerine de neden olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin hacim konusunu öğrenmelerinde var olan formülü kullanmaktan ziyade özgün yaklaşımlar sergilemeye dönük düşünceleri de elde edilen bir başka bulgudur.

In the world where geometric constructions are always in front of us, it is a necessity to make sense of the objects belonging to these constructions. Otherwise, our minds will be kneaded with baseless information and will be caught up in expressions that they cannot fit into the world of meaning. In this context, in this study, it is aimed to examine the teaching of volume with the blending of realistic mathematics education (RME) and Geogebra. The study group consists of 12 regular students. Maximum variety sampling was preferred while determining the study group. In the study, action research, one of the qualitative research methods, was used and the data obtained were analyzed with descriptive and content analysis. The data collection tools of the research are activity sheets, semi-structured interview forms, video recordings and audio recordings prepared by the researcher in accordance with the RME approach. When the findings were examined, it was concluded that the positive impressions that occurred in the visualization and interpretation processes of the students allowed the students to write mathematical sentences, as well as to interpret the outputs by making mathematical inferences. Another finding is the thoughts of students towards exhibiting original approaches rather than using the existing formula in learning the volume subject.
