High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a noninvasive and nonionizing treatment using high-energy focused ultrasound beam. It is promising to treat brain tumour. However, irregular skull thickness may cause different paths and distort or shift the focal point. This can be overcome by using multi-elements transducers. Multi-elements transducers can be steered electronically, suitable for asymmetric tumour shapes, allow for ultrasound imaging with code excitation, and decrease the treatment time. There are other design challenges like efficiency of the system, thermal management, power monitoring, removing harmonics, system size and cost. The goal of the this study is to design and test the multi-elements HIFU driver system. Electrical characteristics of the two HIFU transducers are obtained. The thermal performance of the custom designed driving system is analysed
