This study examines the foundations of the content of three Global News Agencies' (GNA) (The Associated Press, Reuters, and Anadolu Agency) politics and sports-related news on their social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) in 2019. In the first 3 part of the study, the content types of these agencies are analyzed in consideration with their social media usage, profiles and strategies independently. In the final part, all data regarding the agencies' social media content and activities are examined in the context of a comparative study and its established relationship with“high-quality content”and“high engagement rate”on the social web.
