The study examined the investigate the relationship between romantic jealousy and Facebook jealousy, social anxiety, social media related social anxiety, self-esteem and expression of emotions while using Facebook. Participants (N=205) of the study were adults older than 18 years old and currently involved in a romantic relationship or married and Turkish citizens. The study was a cross-sectional design, and participants completed several measures; expression of emotions on the Facebook scale, Liebowitz social anxiety scale, Rosenberg selfesteem scale, social anxiety on social media scale and multidimensional jealousy scale. Results revealed that trusting a partner plays an important role in predicting behavioural, cognitive, emotional jealousy and Facebook jealousy and loving partner predicts cognitive jealousy. It was found that posting a relationship status on Facebook has a significant relationship with Facebook jealousy and emotional jealousy, while the ones who do not post felt more comfortable on Facebook and has a positive affection towards Facebook. People who consider themselves as jealous showed less cognitive jealousy while showing more emotional and behavioural and Facebook jealousy. Moreover, the results indicated that people with higher social anxiety is more jealous on Facebook and emotionally, while not socially anxious individuals have more behavioural jealousy. Also, socially anxious people felt more anxious on social media, while feeling less comfortable using a fake profile on Facebook and showed less affection towards Facebook than the ones who are not socially jealous. Findings were analysed and discussed with the help of previous studies.
