This dissertation aims to investigate Critical Chain Project Management and its applicability to construction project planning. Critical Chain Project Management was developed by Dr Eli GOLDRATT and was first introduced to the market in his Theory of Constraints book“Critical Chain”in 1997. It was developed in response to many projects being dogged by poor performance manifested in longer than expected durations, frequently missed deadlines, increased costs in excess of budget, and substantially less deliverables than originally promised. (GOLDRATT)Critical Chain Method (CCM) is a planning method which is widely accepted as the applicability base whereas the adaptation of different fields and the prevalence of its use are still continues. Although CCM is a competent method for solving resource conflicts, shortening project delivery time in several conditions, considering human factor, yet there are still many discussions and conflicts amongst project managers regarding this method. Therefore, in the discussion part of the thesis, there will be data collected as much as possible to analyse them and conclude the thesis.
