Industry 4.0 is a trend topic which refers to cyber-physical systems, internet of things, machine to machine and human to machine interaction, smart factories, virtual life and many others. Difference between Eastern and Western countries became less in terms of manufacturing cost. Therefore, couple of studies indicated that, the importance of producing in low cost countries has overrated. (Horn, Schiele & Werner, 2013) Additionally, expectations towards shortening lead time, more flexible manufacturing systems, producing with less cost caused to arise of Industry 4.0. Common language need between companies also motivated industry to go along the way of Industry 4.0. This is why, top world companies have to agree with each other then be pioneer during this new era. Digital supply chain, smart manufacturing, digital products, services and business models, data analytics are common main fields of fourth industrial revolution. Supply chain consists of processes like procurement, engineering, production and logistics activities. Since it is an integrated business function, and Industry 4.0 is also integrated system, the term digital supply chain or supply chain 4.0 has also evolved. Supply chain 4.0 functions are expecting to transform traditional processes to self-administrated. For instance, digitalization will have features such as self-adjusting system whenever it's necessary, understanding the current position in order to make required updates. More specifically, when the stock of product or service is run out, the system is going to send a message to the supplier. When the manufacturing process is done, it is going to pass to the next step. Also, the self-adjusting system will capable enough to plan these activities like how long the product is going to be in the stock, even the supplier selection could be made by these systems. The point here is how to initiate and complete digital transformation. Analysis of organizations in terms of awareness, current activities and future plans. Capabilties of organizations such as financial, technical and human resources infrastructures. Organizations' incentives, supports and barrier expectations towards digital transformation. Readiness of organizations are going to be examined with these points of views. Naturally, after all changes towards digitalization, there will be number of benefits and challenges during the process. Companies which adopted digitalization as early as possible, will gain huge competitive advantage against the competitors. (Klinke, 2017) However, there is also core barriers especially for small and medium size enterprises compared to large companies. Since the investment of the companies need to do is not certain or not small amount and the return of the investment is not concerete, probably companies prefer to wait right time. Therefore, there is an expectation from governments to create mechanism that support and consult companies regarding the transformation process. In addition to supporting mechanism, to provide security new legislations are expected to occur with new era of industry. Considering the support mechanisms, collaboration is very crucial for organizations' level of readiness. Companies are expecting from academicians, universities and techno parks to do projects together to optimize their processes with remainin existence in the market. Additionally, communication through supply chain actors and stakeholders will be strengthened.
