Özet

“Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet Döneminde Vaizlik (Nicelik ve Nitelik Açısından Bir Mukayese)”isimli çalışmamızda, önce Osmanlı döneminde vaaz ve vaizlik müessesesinin gelişimi ve vaizlerin eğitimi, daha sonra da Cumhuriyet'in ilk yıllarından itibaren günümüze kadar geçen süreçte, Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı bünyesinde hizmet veren vaizlerin eğitimi incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmamız, giriş ve sonuç kısmı hariç üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde, araştırmanın problemi, alt problemleri, amaç ve önemi, hipotezleri, sınırlılıkları ve yöntemi ile ilgili bilgiler verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde“vaaz”kavramının tanımı ve önemi verildikten sonra, vaaz ile aynı ya da benzer anlama gelen diğer temel kavramlar açıklanmıştır. Nasihat, irşad, davet, tebliğ kavramlarının Kur'an-ı Kerim ve hadislerde hangi manada kullanıldığı anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır. Hz. Peygamber döneminden itibaren vaizlik müessesesinin önemi ve işlevine değinilmiş ve“vaizliğe duyulan ihtiyaç”ve“vaizliğin tarihi gelişimi”başlıklarıyla bölüm nihayete erdirilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet döneminde“vaaz ve vaizlik”konusu detaylı olarak ele alınmıştır. Her iki dönemde vaazla ilgili resmi mevzuat, vaizlerde aranan kişisel ve mesleki yeterlikler, vaizlerin eğitimi, eğitimlerinde yararlanılan kitaplar, vaizlerin denetimi ve vaizlik türleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca Türk Eğitim Tarihi açısından vaiz yetiştirmek için kurulan ilk medrese olan“Medresetü'l Vaizin”ile ilgili ayrıntılı bilgi verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde de Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet Dönemi vaizlik sistemi; ilgili mevzuat, vaizlerde aranan nitelikler, vaizlerin görev ve yetkileri, eğitimi, vaizlik türleri, vaaz etme yöntemleri, vaaz kitapları, vaazda işlenen temalar ve vaizlerin denetimi ile ilgili konular açısından karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Sonuç bölümünde ise araştırma sürecinde elde edilen bilgi ve yorumlar ışığında bazı tespitlerde bulunulmuş ve günümüz vaizlik sisteminin gelişimine yönelik öneriler maddeler halinde sıralanmıştır.

In this study named“The Preaching in the Ottoman and Republican Periods (A Comparison in terms of Quantity and Quality)”, firstly, the development of the institution of sermon and preaching in the Ottoman period, and the education of the preachers, and then, the education of preachers who have provided service within the Presidency of Religious Affairs, have been tried to be examined in the process from the first years of the Republic to the present day. Our research consists of three parts except the introduction and the conclusion. In the introduction part, the information about the problem of research, sub-problems, purpose and importance of the research, hypotheses, limitations and method has been given. In the first part, after the definition and importance of the concept of“sermon”have been given, other basic concepts that have the same or similar meanings as preaching have been explained. It has been tried to explain in what sense the concepts of advice, guidance, invitation, notification is used in the Qur'an and hadiths. The importance and function of the institution of preaching from the time of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h.) has been mentioned. Besides, the chapter is concluded with the headings of“need for preaching”and“historical development of preaching”. In the second part, the subject of“sermon and preaching”in the Ottoman and Republican periods has been discussed in detail. In both periods, official legislation on preaching, personal and professional competencies that are sought in preachers, education of preachers, books that are used in their education, supervision of preachers and types of preaching have been examined. In addition, detailed information has been given about the Madrasah al-Wâizîn ", the first madrasah, which has been established to train preachers in terms of Turkish Education History. In the third part, the preaching system of the Ottoman and Republican Periods has been examined comparatively in terms of relevant legislation, qualifications that are sought in preachers, duties and authority of preachers, the education of preachers, types of preaching, method of sermonizing, sermon books, themes that are covered in the sermon and the issues that are related to the supervision of the preachers. In the conclusion part of the study, some determinations have been made in the light of the information and comments that are obtained during the research process and suggestions for the development of today's preaching system have been listed as items.
