Özet
Değer kavramı bireylerin hayatında ve toplumun düzeninde etkisi büyük bir unsurdur. Eğitim programlarında değerler eğitimine yer verilmesi, eğitim öğretim materyallerinin değerleri barındırma ve aktarma konusundaki işlevselliğini sorgulamayı gerekli kılmıştır. Türkçe dersinde öğretmenler, dilimizin inceliklerini göstermek ve öğrencilerin dil becerilerini geliştirmek amacıyla metinlerden çokça yararlanmaktadır. Kullanılan metinlerin öğretim programının hedefleri doğrultusunda değerlerin aktarımında yararlanılabilecek nitelikleri taşıması gerekmektedir. Bundan yola çıkarak araştırmada“Türkçe dersi öğretim programında yer alan kök değerler, Türkçe ders kitaplarında ne kadar, hangi temada, hangi metin türünde, nasıl yer almaktadır ve öğretmenlerin görüşleri nelerdir?”sorusuna yanıt bulmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç kapsamında belirlenen alt amaçlar şu şekildedir: 1. Ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki metinlerde kök değerler ne kadar yer almaktadır? 2. Ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında kök değerler temalara nasıl dağılmaktadır? 3. Ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında kök değerler metin türlerine nasıl dağılmaktadır? 4. Öğretmenlerin programda belirtilen kök değerlere yönelik algıları nasıldır? 5. Ders kitaplarındaki metinler, değerleri aktarmaları açısından öğretmen görüşlerine göre nasıl değerlendirilmektedir? Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan kök değerler ve kök değerlerin aktarımına yönelik öğretmenlerin algısı araştırmanın durumudur. Bu durumu derinlemesine inceleyebilmek amacıyla ders kitaplarından ve öğretmen görüşlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Ders kitaplarındaki metinler doküman inceleme yöntemine göre incelenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin konu ile ilgili görüşleri ise EK-1' de yer alan Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu ile yapılan görüşmelerle alınmıştır. Türkçe öğretim programında değerler, öğretim programlarının perspektifini oluşturan ilkeler toplamı olarak belirtilmiştir ve öğrencilere aktarılması hedeflenen 10 kök değerden (adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik) bahsedilmiştir. 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında kullanılmış olan EKOYAY 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki ve 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında kullanılmış olan Ata Yayınları 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki metinlerde kök değerlerle ilgili ifadeler detaylıca incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Ders kitaplarını kullanan öğretmenlerin kök değerlerin metinlerde bulunuşuyla ilgili ve öğrencilere değer aktarımıyla ilgili görüşleri alınarak, ders kitaplarındaki metinlerin bu konudaki yeterliliği değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı'na ve bu konuda araştırma yapacak olan araştırmacılara önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda ulaşılan temel bulgular aşağıda listelenmiştir: 1. EKOYAY 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında ve Ata Yayınları 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında 8 tema, bu temalar içerisinde 40 metin olduğu görülmektedir. EKOYAY 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabında 8 metinde kök değerlerle ilgili ifadeler yer almazken daha güncel olan Ata Yayınları Türkçe ders kitabında 15 metinde kök değerle ilgili ifadeler yer almamaktadır. 2. EKOYAY 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabının metinlerinde sevgi değeri çeşitli metinlerde 35 kez yer alarak en fazla rastlanan kök değer olmuştur. Ata Yayınları 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki metinlerde sevgi değeri 32 kez yer alarak en çok yer alan kök değer olmuştur. Sevgi ve vatanseverlik değerleri iki kitapta da en çok yer alan değerlerdendir. 3. EKOYAY 6. Sınıf Türkçe ders kitabındaki metinler incelendiğinde en az geçen değerlerin 2 kez ile adalet ve öz denetim değerlerinin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ardından 4 kez ile dürüstlük ve sabır değerleri gelmektedir. Ata Yayınları ders kitabındaki metinlerde en az yer alan kök değer ise 2 kez ile dürüstlük değeridir. Dürüstlük değeri iki kitapta da en az yer alan kök değerlerdendir. 4. Öğretmenlerle yapılan görüşmede ders kitaplarındaki metinlerde en çok yer aldığı düşünülen iki kök değerin dostluk ve yardımseverlik olduğu görülmüştür. Yapılan görüşmelerde öğretmenlerin çoğu kök değerlerin yeterince yer almadığı yönünde görüş belirtmiştir. Metinlerdeki kök değerlerin yeterli olmadığını belirten öğretmenler; değerleri aktarmada kitabın yetersiz kaldığını, kitaptaki değerlerin daha iyi şekilde işlenebileceğini belirtmektedir. 5. Öğretmenlerle yapılan görüşmelerde ders kitaplarındaki metinlerde öz denetim ve sorumluluk değerlerine daha fazla yer verilmesi gerektiği yönünde görüş daha fazla belirtilmiştir. Öğretmenler metinleri bu değerler konusunda yeterli görmemekte ve eksik olduğunu düşündükleri kök değerlere toplumun daha fazla ihtiyacı olduğunu düşündükleri görülmektedir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde; iki kitapta da değerlerin dengeli şekilde yer almadığı ve öğretmenlerin ders kitaplarındaki metinleri kök değerlerin aktarımı konusunda yeterli bulmadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Kitaplarla ilgili elde edilen verilerden yola çıkılarak; güncellenen kitapların değerler konusunda uzman bir ekibin süzgecinden geçirilerek hazırlanması, ders kitaplarında değerlerle ilgili bir standart oluşturabilmek amacıyla değerlerin çeşitliliği ve bulunma miktarıyla ilgili bir alt sınır belirlenmesi önerilmiştir. Öğretmen görüşmelerinden elde edilen verilerden yola çıkılarak kök değerlerin aktarımıyla ilgili; bütün derslerin öğretmenlerine değerler eğitimi semineri verilerek değerlerle ilgili etkinliklere dair bilgilendirme yapılması, ebeveynlerin kök değerleri çocuklara aktarmasını sağlayabilecek etkinliklere yönelik eğitici çalışmalar yapılması, ders kitaplarında bulunan değerler ile ilgili kavramların metinlerle aynı veya bağlantılı konularda hazırlanabilecek görsel, video veya animasyonlarla desteklenmesi önerilmiştir.

The concept of value is an important element in the life of individuals and in the order of society. The inclusion of values education in education programs has made it necessary to question the functionality of educational materials in hosting and transferring values. In Turkish lessons, teachers make use of texts to show the subtleties of our language and to improve students' language skills. The texts used should have the qualities that can be used in the transfer of values in line with the objectives of the curriculum. Based on this, in the research,“How much, in which theme, in which text type, how are the stem values in the Turkish lesson curriculum included in Turkish textbooks, and what are the opinions of the teachers?”aimed to answer the question. The sub-objectives determined within the scope of this purpose are as follows: 1. To what extent are the stem values included in the texts in the secondary school Turkish textbooks? 2. How are the stem values distributed to the themes in the secondary school Turkish textbooks? 3. How are stem values distributed to text types in secondary school Turkish textbooks? 4. What are the teachers' perceptions of the stem values specified in the program? 5. How are the texts in the textbooks evaluated according to the opinions of the teachers in terms of conveying the values? The case study method, one of the qualitative research designs, was used as the method of the research. The stem values in the secondary school Turkish textbooks and the perception of the teachers about the transfer of the stem values is the state of the research. In order to examine this situation in depth, course books and teacher opinions were used. The texts in the textbooks were examined according to the document analysis method. The opinions of the teachers on the subject were obtained through interviews with the Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme Formu in EK-1. In the Turkish curriculum, it has been stated that values are the sum of the principles that form the perspective of the curriculum, and 10 core values (justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, helpfulness) that are aimed to be conveyed to the students are mentioned. In the texts of the EKOYAY 6th Grade Turkish textbook used in the 2020-2021 academic year and the Ata Yayınları 6th Grade Turkish textbook used in the 2021-2022 academic year, the expressions related to the stem values have been tried to be examined in detail. It was tried to evaluate the adequacy of the texts in the textbooks by taking the opinions of the teachers who use the textbooks about the presence of the stem values in the texts and the transfer of values to the students. The data obtained in the research were analyzed with descriptive and content analysis methods. In line with the findings obtained as a result of the research, suggestions were made to the Ministry of National Education and to the researchers who will conduct research on this subject. The main findings reached as a result of the research are listed below: 1. EKOYAY 6th grade Turkish textbook and Ata Yayınları 6th grade Turkish textbook have 8 themes and 40 texts within these themes. While there are no expressions about stem values in 8 texts in the EKOYAY 6th Grade Turkish textbook, there are no expressions related to stem values in 15 texts in the more up-to-date Ata Yayınları Turkish textbook. 2. In the texts of the EKOYAY 6th Grade Turkish textbook, the value of love has been the most common stem value, taking place 35 times in various texts. In the texts of Ata Yayınları 6th Grade Turkish textbook, the value of love was the most common stem value, appearing 32 times. The values of love and patriotism are among the values most frequently mentioned in both books. 3. When the texts in the EKOYAY 6th Grade Turkish textbook were examined, it was determined that the values that were mentioned at least twice were the values of justice and self-control. Then comes the values of honesty and patience with 4 times. The least common stem value in the texts in the Ata Yayınları textbook is the value of honesty with 2 times. The value of honesty is one of the stem values that take place the least in both books. 4. In the interview with the teachers, it was seen that the two stem values that are thought to be the most common in the texts in the textbooks are friendship and benevolence. In the interviews, most of the teachers stated that the stem values are not sufficiently included. Teachers who stated that the stem values in the texts were not sufficient; states that the book is insufficient in conveying the values and that the values in the book can be handled better. 5. In the interviews with the teachers, the opinion that the values of self-control and responsibility should be given more place in the texts in the textbooks was expressed more. It is seen that teachers do not see the texts enough about these values and they think that the society needs more stem values that they think are missing. When the findings of the research are examined; It was concluded that the values in both books were not included in a balanced way and that the teachers did not find the texts in the textbooks sufficient for the transfer of stem values. Based on the data obtained from the books; It has been suggested that the updated books should be prepared by filtering by a team specialized in values, and a lower limit should be determined for the variety and amount of values in order to establish a standard about values in the course books. Based on the data obtained from teacher interviews, about the transfer of stem values; It has been suggested that teachers of all courses be given values education seminars to inform them about activities related to values, to carry out educational studies on activities that can enable parents to transfer stem values to children, and to support the concepts related to values in the textbooks with visuals, videos or animations that can be prepared on the same or related topics as the texts.
