Özet
Çocuklara ilişkin ikinci dil öğretmede yapılan çalışmaların ciddi anlamda az olduğu için çocuk grubuna ikinci dil eğitimini ele alan bu çalışma ehemmiyeti kazanmakla birlikte araştırmacılar bu konuda çalışma yapmalarında zorluklarla karşılaşmaktadırlar. Bu çalışma çocuk grubuna ikinci dil eğitiminde önemli konulardan biri olan konuşma yeteneğini ele almıştır. İkinci dili öğrenmede önde gelen hedeflerden olan konuşabilmekle beraber insanlarla ilişki kurmayı sağlamaktadır. Çalışmamız çocukların ikinci dili konuşmalarını geliştirecek bilinen yöntem ve metotları açıklamaya özen vermektedir. Zira bu çalışma ikinci dili öğrenmek isteyene dili sevdirme, ısındırma ve kendilerine en uygun yöntemleri eğiticilerin seçmelerini kolaylaştırmaktadır. Bu araştırma; giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmaktadır. Girişte çalışmanın ehemmiyeti, konu seçme sebebiyeti ve uygulanan yönteme değinilmiş, birinci bölümde ise konuyla ilgili geçmiş çalışmalarla ve çalışmamızın arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıkları ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölüm, çalışma ile ilgili dil teorikler, ikinci dili kazanmada bu teoriklerin izahını, çocukların konuşma yeteneğinde karşılaştığı sorunları, konuşmak için gereken yetenekleri, dil kaynağındaki teorik standartları ve konuşma yeteneğini değerlendiren kriterleri ele almıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise ikinci dili konuşmayı geliştirecek en meşhur yöntemler (çalışmanın özü), çocukların ikinci dili öğrenmelerinde kullanabilecek metotlar, her metodun uygulama örnekleri ele alınmakla birlikte, metotların önemini teyit etmek için bu alanda çalışanların bilimsel anketi kapsamıştır. Sonuçta ulaşılmış neticelere ve önerilere değinilmiştir. Çalışmanın dayandığı kaynakçaları araştırmanın son sayfalarında gösterilmiştir.

The importance of this thesis comes from the category it deals with, which is the category of children, where we find a scarcity of research that deals with aspects related to teaching the second language to children, and this is one of the challenges that face researchers who wish to approach topics related to this category. The thesis deals with one of the important issues in learning the second language for children, which is the issue of conversation, where the conversation skill represents one of the main objectives of language learning, through which communication and connection take place. The thesis explains the most popular methods and ways that help to develop conversation for children so that it is easier for teachers to choose what suits the learners in terms of ways and methods that bring them closer to the language and endear it to them. The research included an introduction, three chapters, and a conclusion. In the introduction, I mentioned the importance of the research, the motives for choosing the topic and the approach followed in the research. The first chapter came to clarify the previous studies and the similarities and differences between them and the current study, and what is new that the research offers. The second chapter dealt with the linguistic theoretical framework related to the study, and the discussion came about the most popular theories explaining language acquisition, the challenges that children face in speaking skill, the skills necessary for the conversation process, and topics that can be addressed in conversation in light of the standards of the Linguistic Frame of Reference, and the assessment criteria for speaking skill. In the third chapter came the essence of the research, which is the most popular methods that develop the skill of conversation. The research presented the most famous methods that we can employ in educating children, with the provision of applied models for each way and method. The thesis included an exploratory research questionnaire to determine the importance of these methods by those who are interested and who work in the field to emphasize its importance. Then the thesis concluded with the results of the research in addition to the recommendations and references on which the research relied.
