Özet
Çalışmada metafor konulu lisansüstü tezlerin analizini yaparak var olan durumu ortaya koymak, eğilimlerin hangi yönde olduğunu tespit etmek ve fizik eğitimindeki metafor çalışmalarını incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda nitel araştırma modelinin durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Doküman inceleme yöntemiyle veriler toplanmıştır. Veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma grubunu veri analizinin ilk basamağında YÖK Tez Merkezine“metafor”“metaforik algı”“zihinsel algı”gibi anahtar kelimeler girilerek ulaşılan 558 tez oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen tezler excel programına aktarılmış ve analizleri yapılmıştır. Listelenen 558 tez bölümlerine göre kategorileştirilmiştir.“Eğitim Bilimleri”kategorisinde yer alan tezler; yıl, tez türü, branş, çalışma grubu, materyal gibi değişkenler açısından incelenmiştir. Eğitim bilimleri kategorisinin alt kategorisi olan“fizik eğitimi”branşındaki metafor çalışmaları (f=6) incelenmiştir. Veri analizleri sonucunda 588 tez eğitim bilimleri, güzel sanatlar, felsefe, hukuk vb. olmak üzere 46 kategori altında toplanmıştır. Eğitim bilimleri kategorisinde bulunan 230 tez fizik eğitimi, kimya eğitimi, sosyal bilgiler eğitimi, coğrafya eğitimi vb. olmak üzere 29 kategori altından toplamıştır. Tezlerin yıllara göre dağılımına bakıldığında ilk çalışma 1992 yılında yayımlanmıştır. 2019 yılında ise çalışmaların en yüksek sayıda yayımlandığı tespit edilmiştir. Eğitim alanındaki metafor çalışmaları Türkçe (f=208), İngilizce (f=21) ve Almanca (f=1) dillerinde yayımlanmıştır. 14 çalışmada ders kitabı, yazılı eser, makale, gazete ve öğretim programı olmak üzere toplam 15 materyal incelenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak en fazla açık uçlu metafor ölçeği (f=144) ve demografik bilgi (f=111) tercih edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda fizik eğitiminde 1'i doktora çalışması olmak üzere toplam 6 çalışma bulunmaktadır. Fizik eğitimindeki metafor çalışmalarında fizik dersi (f=2), modern fizik (f=1), kuantum fiziği (f=1), basınç (f=1), kaldırma kuvveti (f=1) ve fizik ders kitaplarındaki metaforik terimler (f=1) tercih edilen konuları oluşturmaktadır. Yine fizik eğitimindeki metafor çalışmalarında öğrencilerdeki algıyı ortaya koymak (f=5), metaforik terimleri ortaya koymak (f=2), başarıya etkisini ortaya koymak (f=1) şeklinde amaçların olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmalardan elde edilen sonuçlara göre metaforlar kavramlara biçim kazandırarak somutlaştırdığı, anlamayı kolaylaştırdığı, yaratıcılığı arttırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Elektrik konusundaki metaforların ontolojik metaforlar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ve metaforların fizikte daha çok soyut kavramları anlatırken kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to investigate thesis carried out in the issues of metaphor by analyzing the graduate studies and to determine the direction of the trends and it is aimed to examine metaphor studies in physics education. For this purpose, the case study design of the qualitative research model was used. Data were collected by document review method. Descriptive analysis was performed on the data of the study. The working group consists of 558 theses, which are accessed by entering keywords such as“metaphor”,“metaphoric perception”,“mental perception”to the YÖK Thesis Center in the first step of data analysis. The obtained theses were transferred to the excel program and analyzed. 558 theses are categorized according to their chapters. Theses in the category of“Educational Sciences”; years, type of thesis, branch, study group, material were examined in terms of variables. Metaphor studies in the branch of“physics education”(f=6) under the category of educational sciences were examined. According to the results obtained from the research findings; As the subject area the studies that are done on metaphor in Turkey are gathered under 46 main titles, which are; mathematics and science, educational sciences, basic education and Turkish, social sciences, fine arts, law, philosophy etc. Metaphor studies in the department of educational sciences are grouped under 29 categories, which are; physics education, chemistry education, geography education etc. Considering the distribution of theses by years, the first study was published in 1992. In 2019, it was determined that the highest number of studies were published. Metaphor studies in the field of education have been published in Turkish (f=208), English (f=21) and German (f=1). A total of 15 materials, including textbooks, written works, articles, newspapers and curriculum, were examined in 14 studies. As a result of the data obtained, there are a total of 6 studies, 1 of which is a doctoral study, in physics education. The subjects obtained in the studies; physics lesson (f=2), modern (f=1), quantum (f=1), pressure (f=1), buoyancy force (f=1), creates metaphorical terms in physics (f=1) textbooks. In the studies, it was aimed to reveal the perception of the students (f=5), to reveal the metaphorical terms (f=2) and to reveal the effect on success (f=1). According to the results obtained from the studies, it has been determined that metaphors concretize the concepts by giving shape, facilitate understanding and increase creativity. It has been determined that the metaphors about electricity are ontological metaphors. And it has been determined that metaphors are mostly used when describing abstract concepts in physics.
