Özet
Çalışma, İngilizce derslerinde sosyo-duygusal bir stratejinin kullanımını açıklamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, bir Irak okulunda İngilizce dil öğrencilerinin İngilizce dil sınıflarında EFL öğrencileri arasındaki sınıf etkileşimini geliştirmede sosyo-duygusal strateji etkisinin kullanımını araştırmaktır. Bu çalışma ile nüfus Selahaddin hükümetindeki ortaöğretim okullarında yer almaktadır. Katılımcılar Baiji ortaokulundan yüz elli kişiydi ve rastgele iki gruba ayrıldı: bir kontrol grubu (N = 75) ve bir deney grubu (N = 75). Deney sırasında, deney grubuna sınıf etkileşimi için bazı duyuşsal stratejiler açık bir şekilde öğretilirken, kontrol grubuna geleneksel olarak öğretildi. Tüm katılımcılar, müdahaleden önce ve sonra bir etkileşim öncesi/sonrası performans testi kullanılarak test edildi. Kontrol ve deney gruplarının son test puan ortalamaları arasındaki fark bağımsız örneklemler t testi ile hesaplanmış ve her grubun etkileşim performans ön ve son test ortalamaları arasındaki fark ayrı ayrı hesaplanmıştır. eşleştirilmiş örnekler t testi. Kontrol ve deney gruplarının son test puan ortalamaları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark vardır. Ayrıca deney grubunun ön ve son test puan ortalamaları arasında son test lehine anlamlı bir farklılık vardır. Katılımcıların etkileşiminin, sosyo-duygusal strateji hakkında net bir talimat aldıktan sonra performansı önemli ölçüde iyileştirdiği sonucuna varmıştır.

The study describes the use of a socio-affective strategy in EFL classes. This study aims to find out how EFL students in an Iraqi school who are learning English can use socio-affective strategies to improve how they interact with each other in the classroom.. The population of Saladin government schools is large. Therefore, the respondents were one hundred and fifty students from Baiji High School who were randomly divided into two groups: a control group (N = 75) and an experimental group (N = 75). During the experiment, the socio-affective strategy for classroom interaction was explicitly taught to the experimental group, whereas the control group was taught traditionally. All the respondents were tested using a pre/post interaction performance test before and after the intervention. The difference between the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups was calculated using the independent samples t-test, and the difference between the interaction performance pre- and post-test averages of each group was calculated separately. There was a significant difference between the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups in favor of the experimental group. In addition, there was a significant difference between the pre-and post-test mean scores of the experimental group in favor of the post-test. It was concluded that participants' interaction improved performance significantly after receiving clear instructions on the socio-affective strategy.
