Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual satisfaction and perceived stress levels of individuals who practice yoga and those who do not in the Turkish population. Method: The sample of the study was N=246 people, N=93 participants in the yoga group, and N=153 participants in the non-yoga group, which were recruited through convenience sampling. Over the inclusion criteria stipulated that participants were 18 years old, had no mental illness, and were sexually active. Sociodemographic Form, New Sexual Satisfaction Scale and the Perceived Stress Scale were used in data collection. Frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t-test for binary groups, ANOVA and chi-squared analysis were applied in the study. Results: In the study, individuals who practised yoga had higher levels of sexual satisfaction, and their perceived stress level was lower than the non-yoga group. According to the results of the correlation analysis, a significant negative correlation was found between sexual satisfaction and perceived stress in yoga group. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that individuals who practice yoga exhibit higher levels of sexual satisfaction compared to those who do not. Furthermore, the perceived stress levels of those who do yoga were lower than those who do not practice yoga. In addition, further examination of the yoga group revealed a significant negative relationship between perceived stress and sexual satisfaction. Thus, yoga might play a factor in sexual satisfaction, however, that might be via reduced levels of stress.
