Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 7.sınıf Fen Bilimleri dersinde“Hücre ve Bölünmeler”ünitesinin öğretiminde LearningApps uygulamasının öğrencilerin başarılarına ve derse yönelik tutumlarına olan etkisini incelemektir. Çalışma 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim yılında Giresun ilinde MEB'a bağlı bir ortaokulun 7. sınıflarında öğrenim gören 56 (deney grubunda 28, kontrol grubunda 28) öğrenci ile 5 hafta ve 20 ders saati boyunca yürütülmüştür. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desenin kullanıldığı bu araştırmada veriler, Karslı (2019) tarafından geliştirilen“Hücre ve Bölünmeler Başarı Testi (HBBT)”ve Balım ve ark. (2009) tarafından geliştirilen daha sonra Aydın (2011) ve Pınarkaya (2017) tarafından revize edilen“Fen Bilimlerine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (FBYTÖ)”ile elde edilmiştir. Deney grubunda mevcut öğretim programına ek olarak Web 2.0 araçlarından biri olan LearningApps.org uygulaması içerisinde bulunan ve araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen farklı etkinliklerle izleme ve değerlendirme çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Kontrol grubunda ise hiçbir müdahalede bulunulmayıp mevcut öğretim programına bağlı kalınarak dersler işlenmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde İlişkili (Bağımlı) Örneklemler T Testi ve Bağımsız Örneklem T Testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre deney ve kontrol gruplarında yapılan uygulamaların 7. sınıf öğrencilerinin hücre ve bölme ünitesindeki başarılarını önemli ölçüde artırdığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Aynı zamanda bu uygulamaların öğrencilerin tutum puanlarını artırmada anlamlı düzeyde etkili olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Deney grubunun son test başarı puanları lehine istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ancak son test tutum ölçeğinde tutum puanlarının artmasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmamasına rağmen deney grubu öğrencilerinin puanları görece olarak daha yüksektir. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlar sonucunda fen öğretiminde LearningApps Web 2.0 aracı hakkında öğretmenlere araştırmacılara, eğitim kurumlarına ve kuruluşlara önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of LearningApps application in teaching the“cell and divisions”unit in the 7th grade science course on students achievements and attitudes towards the course. This study was carried out with 56 students (28 in the experimentalgroup and 28 in the control group) studying in the 7th grade of a secondary school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the province of Giresun in the 2019-2020 academic year, for 5 weeks and 20 leson hours. In this study, in which a quasi-experimental desing with pre-test post-test control group was used, the data were collected from the“Cell and Divisions Achievement Test (HBBT)”developed by Karslı (2019) and Balım et al. (2009) and later revised by Aydın (2011) and Pınarkaya (2017),“Attitude Scale Towards Science (FBYTÖ)”. In addition to the existing curriculum, in the experimental group, monitoring and evaluation studies were carried out with different activities developed by the researcher in the LearningApps.org application, which is one of the Web 2.0 tools. In the control group, no intervention was made and the lessons were taught by adhering to the current curriculum. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the SPSS 22.0 package program. Paired Samples T Test and Independent Sample T Test were used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings obtained as a result of the study, it was concluled that the applications made in the experimental and control groups significantly increased the success of the 7th grade students in the cell and divisions unit, while it was determined that these applications were not significiantly effective in increasing the students attitude scores. It was concluded that there was a statistically significant difference in favor of the experimental group in which the applications were carried out with the LearningApps Web 2.0 tool in terms of the post-test achievements scores of the students, but although there was no significant difference in increasing the attitude scores in terms of the post-test attitude scale scores of the experimental group students were relatively higher. As a result of the results obtained from the research, to the teachers about the LearningApps Web 2.0 tool in science teaching, suggestions were made for researchers and educational institutions and organizations.
