Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a lifelong developmental disability that affects communication and the ability to relate to others. Research shows that the level of knowledge related to autism has increased with time (Harrison et al. 2016), which, in turn, has affected the prevalence of autism. The current study investigates whether there is a between educational level and autism awareness and whether there are differences in knowledge of autism among students from Turkey, Ukraine, and Poland. Research was conducted with 229 participants, 82 of which were Turkish, 67 Polish, and 80 Ukrainian. 126 were bachelor students, 76 had a masters degree, and 27 were not studying. Two-way ANOVA analysis was used in data analysis. Results were as follows: when all the participants were considered, 98.3% were aware of autism, 94.3% stated that autistic children might give strange reactions to smell, taste, look, or sound, 81.7% wrote that children with autism will have difficulty understanding facial expressions, and 39.1% believed that we have therapies that can cure autism was. Significant numbers of participants have heard about autism. The average score of awareness of Turks was 75.54, of Ukrainians was 76.65, while the average of Polish participants was 84.24. The average awareness score of all undergraduate students, regardless of their nationalities, was 77.13, the average of graduate students was 81.07, and the average of non-students was calculated as 77.48. The average awareness score of Turkish and Ukrainian undergraduate students was 74.82 and 76.87, respectively, while the average awareness score of Polish undergraduate students was 83.26.
